New anti-virus?

My 2 cents worth (from someone who has been in the industry for 25 years). Norton has, and probably always will be a huge resource hog that does a poor job at detecting viri. NOD32 (I used to be the local reseller for this) is, in my profossional and personally opinion a fantastic product (FYI NOD32 is not Norton). AVG is fine - its FREE! If you're looking for FREE reliable antivirus and malware support then you can't go past AVG + Malwarebytes.

I might need to re read the thread, but who the hell said anything about Norton?

Agree that AVG has gone down a bit in the last years, I have personally used nod32, AVAST, Kaspersky, OneCare, MSE, and maybe others, and I liked all of these for various reasons.

I am one of those people that format my system every couple months anyways, and sometimes don't even install ANY type of AV. (like now)

There are pros and cons to the different products, try a few out and see which fits you.

yeau should read my last comment but anyway u got a point in what your saying and im thinking of going over to MSE now if my problem wont dissapear
