There is a gearswap plugin under the plugins directory.. Swaps gear based on type of dmg...

Personally I don't use it my self and im not sure of its capabilities,

If if it doesn't do it perhaps there is another plugin that can- Personally I wouldn't recommend you use it however, particularly on Hardcore.

If your doing a rift, and the pylon happened to be conduit and the mobs that spawn are reflect dmg then im not sure there is much you can do apart from die... Havnt seen it happen for some time now, As I no longer play with my mates cause they quit, But ive seen a few mates loose there HC toons this way.

I'm pretty sure you don't take reflect damage from Conduit strikes.

Perhaps not anymore, I can assure you it did at one time, I wont be going on my HC toon to test it.
