Needing input on why i got banned, and how many of you stopped botting?

just as the title says ive been missing botting but not really sure if its worth it anymore since i lost 5 accounts for a year. Wondering if anyone else has given up or are still botting strong and how long do you bot for untill nailed again. Just wondering again due to thinking about coming back with shit account to stack gold on before release of next xpack? another question is that i read about people having the ability to transfer old alts off of banned accounts to new accounts how valid is this? Does it work or has blizz caught on and stopped that? any feed back would help alot thanks.

I stopped and will not touch Honorbuddy as long as Blizzard and Bossland are still in court. I got nailed 6+ months ago despite being pretty careful and got nailed again in the previous one despite being obsessive about safety. It seems obvious now that Blizz always had the ability to detect Honorbuddy, it just wasn't worth the expending resources to do so until the court case. When people inevitably flood the Ban Section a few months after the we get our accounts back in 6/18 months I will laugh at them because they learned nothing.

Quit after getting the 6month ban, went to FFXIV using rebornbuddy, couldn't be happier. I just wish i had made the switch sooner instead of holding on to wow.

Still love that people got a year ban yet my never botted on apart from rotation account with realm first MArch etc got perma. To be fair my oft botted super farm account got temp ban though. Go figure lol.

Anyhow, done playing let alone botting. Only way I will bot again is if they release an x64 client. Seeing as they're roughly 12 years late already.. Won't hold my breath.

For all those that quit botting, why do you still come to these forums? That makes no sense at all. It's like a recently quit alcoholic wandering through a liquor store...What's the point?

The smart people that quit stopped coming to these forums. The ones that still come do so just to bitch in threads like this.

Some of us are familiar with the terms of service and accept that Blizzard can and likely will ban our accounts. You're the one that's butthurt here, not us.

I admit when i botted i didnt go out of my way to harm there crappy economy just made enought to pay for game time and botted things that were of no interest in me doing by hand. Rotation i used soap since all the developers left here due to contract issues and tuanha's stuff because worse the singular. I thank everyone for their input to this i just dont see much anymore of wow botting likely because everyone has stopped and moved on who know and this is just a guess but my assumption is that bossland and blizzard worked out some sort of deal to make money off of each other which in turn screws us out of time and money. why else would blizz not perma bann everyone's accounts like they use to. My guess days of wow botting are over.

Safe? That's relative. If you mean no bans across a dozen accounts for 10 years then all of a sudden losing them all and 6 additional over 6 months? You bet your ass.

All while years put into campaigning and pleading for an x64 client while being ignored by bossland with all their hubris. At our expense of course.

A word comes to mind - butt hurt isn't it.

Nativity. Sheepy. Pathetic. All come to mind when I think of people still re buying wow accounts and giving them both money though. If for nothing else considering all the amazing games out there. There are even a few real mmorpgs left.

Before you go there, yes I'm aware wow has been a faux mmo for over ten years. Yes I also am aware it's hypocritical to a degree that I still played. Lesser of evils perhaps? Naw, just loved the folks I raided competitively with. That was the motivator.

Mildly off topic - least went out on a high note. T18 was some of the most challenging raid content since vanilla.

I couldn't agree more. I'm done with WoW until I feel HB is safe again. For now I think I will give FFXIV Reborn a try.

So the post directly above this, you say that you won't come back and use HB until they are done fighting their legal battles with Blizzard, and this post you say you come to see if they make improvements...

Sounds like the only sub-forum you need to go to is the legal section then...Since, you know, you won't come back until the two companies are done suing each other.

If you actually care about improvements, you wouldn't be coming to the ban discussions sub-forum. It's about the last place you'd be looking for improvements in.
