Hey guys, so I just bought a new mobo, CPU, memory and got everything put together but its not loading up windows.. keeps coming up with the safe mode options and ive tried all of them but it just keeps resetting. My understand is that windows wont boot due not recognizing the drivers or something. I do not have a windows disc since its OEM, but was told if I had a vista disc I could pop that in and repair and be good to go, but I dont have that either.. Can someone help me out here or point me in the right direction.. dont have the money to go and buy a new license with holidays around the corner :(

re-install windows, if you cannot afford a license, google the aforementioned and get it for free.

if it doesnt load windows after reinstall get a new hdd

google "windows loader" itll *****er any os,

get a newer hd

(didnt fully read your post just quick skim)

download drivers

get more ram

that doesnt help at all... got 8g RAM installed, I dont need a new HD.......maybe you shouldve read the post fully lol

all new hardware but with old hdd (windows in it) ?
repair it with the repair disc might always cause some sort of problems. you could google ghosted version of any windows and easily figured out the rest

mostly new hardware, got a new video card a few months ago.. the mobo/cpu/memory were just added today.. have had the HD for a few years. so what do you mean ghosted version?

still need some solid advice please

Try this.

Seriously this is a botting forum and you have the entire web to search for these issues. I'm not trying to provoke you but you may have better luck on websites more related to your issue.

Okay, first, how is this related to DB? This thread's going to be deleted.

Second: Poor you! You can't have everything you want. Maybe you don't need that thing you were going to buy for the holidays. Maybe you'll survive if you don't buy everything you want. That being said, any number of things could have gone wrong with your hardware. 1) Did you put everything together correctly? Are all the fans plugged in the the right places? Did you mount the CPU correctly? Does all of your RAM work correctly? 2) Are all pieces you bought compatible with each other? Did you get a graphics card that is compatible with your motherboard? 3) Either steal Windows by downloading an 'unauthentic' copy, or suck it up and buy the CD. 4) Why did you choose to build a computer? It takes forever, and costs more. I built a computer (RIP), and decided that I will never do it again. Google ibuypowe r, wait for a sale, get computer in a couple of days.

Edit: Everything has worked marvelously with the computer I bought from the aforementioned website - only 1 thing: when I unboxed it, not trusting the guys who assembled it, I opened the case up just to make sure everything was put together properly. And the case fan was unplugged. Yeah...better than the processor fan, but still...

Lol @ building it yourself being more expensive.

OP: You even install windows yet or what? And what copy?
