Hey, ive bought new PC:

Core i7-3770K 3.50GHz SOC.LGA 1155 [8M CACHE]
geforce 560 gti (2gb)
GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD3H Intel Z77 LGA 1155 (3xPCX/ VGA/ DZW/ GLAN/ SATA3/ USB3/ RAID/ DDR3/ SLI/ CROSSFIRE)
DDR3 16GB (2x8GB) RipjawsX 1600MHz CL9

My problem has appeared after buying SSD (Kingston SSD 120GB V300 SATA3, 2.5'' MLC 7mm). Ive bought this SSD to use it only for windows, d3(1x + 3x mini copies of diablo made by newest JAR), db (1x) and path of exile. I havent installed anything else on that SSD. i havent had any problems with CPU usage when i had diablos + clones installed at my old hdd (usually around 18-22% while 3 bots were running w/o modifing prefs). Right now me PC is using 55% of CPU even though i havent changed anything else beside instaling fresh d3 on my new SSD. Today ive decided that for a time being im going to go back to previous working setup at my hdd but it doesnt work anymore that good (again 55% instead of 20%). I think its immportant to add that my DB folder (x1) is still placed on my SSD. Im really looking for some advice from ur side because tbh im not that good at lets call it "engineering" :( Plz help! :)

If u need any additional infomartions let me know i will try to deliver :)

p.s. Not sure if it matters but i havent split my SSD at 2 partitions, everything is in one single 120gb space of my ssd :)

First of all, is your SSD on the latest firmware? If not, please download and install the latest firmware.
Second, that is a verry strange issue. I do not think it has anything to do with your SSD or HDD. You must have made a change somewhere I think.
Go look in your BIOS. Most motherboards have an CPU option, like save mode, fast mode etc... Maby your motherboard changed it somehow ^^

EDIT:
If you look in your taskmanager, how much % does Diablo averange take? And how much for DemonBuddy?

Well ive been using modified d3prefs b4 but after instaling all new stuff aka CPU etc ive turned that off in JAR so it doesnt replace my d3prefs anymore. I start to think that my "basic" d3prefs were modified in some way e.g. fps limitation or something like that, hard to say right now :/ Fresh instal of d3 at my ssd could have overwrite my previous d3prefs so i will never know :)

I will try to check my ssd firmware (dunno how to do it yet but willf ind out). It might be something in a bios because it wasnt me who was changing some stuff in bios (im too newbie for that and dont want to mess soemthing up). Im not certainly sure if he has changed anything but propably have and after instaling fresh windows at fresh SSD it could have possibly reset (dunno, just guessing).

For ur last question: each d3 was using like 17% of CPU and each DB around 2-5 or so. It was on the lowest possible settings of d3 (w/o modifiing d3prefs). 5 min ago ive changed max FPS in both game and background and limited it to 40 FPS in each d3. The result is ~4,5% avarage CPU usage for each diablo and 2-3% for each session of DB. What do u think of that? right now im back to 21-25% cpu usage, still higher than b4 but its better, however im willing to push more bots in very near future so im looking for a good solution here :)

p.s. Thanks for ur help already! :)

p.s.2 Whats good FPS rate to bot ? ive heard/read that u need at least 30 fps for proper work of DB, am i correct or i have some outdated info ?

p.s. 3 Ive checked drivers of my SSD - windows say that i have newest one however thats a date of drivers: 2006-06-21. looks weird to me :/

I see. If your diablo clients are taking arround 17% you defenetly need to use customized d3prefs!
This will drasticly decrease the CPU and GPU usages :)

Also, its very easy to update SSD Firmware. Just google it or look it up on youtube ^^

Look at my p.s 1-3 :) one more info version of my drivers of SSD: 6.1.7600.16385. Dunno if it says anything to You :)

Ive been using modified d3 prefs at my old PC :) right now while im not pushing more bots i dont c a point to change d3pref but u are absolutly right that i will have again in a future :)

p.s.2.
You can use 15 fps. But its up to you if its smooth enough for you. Just try it out. It will lower your cpu/gpu usages :)

p.s.3.
Yes windows is not always able to get the latest version of drivers/firmwares.
I quickly googled your SSD and found nothing about firmware updates or something.
It seems there is not yet an firmware update :)

Ive found out how to check it/update but as u said theres nothing to download yet for ssd300 @ official site (youtube is my friend so is google ^^). I would like to ask one more thing becaus eim not sure about if it matters or not: Is it fine to have SSD w/o partitions so my windows/db/jar/d3 are on the very same space? or shall i seperate this for better performance/less crashes /dunno what else?

Thanks for ur time and ur help :)

you HAVE to change the ingame settings, vsync, shadows etc, ALL to the very minimum

not sure if u did this

Okay good! Already changed the FPS/d3prefs?
No it does not matter that you run your SSD w/o paritions. I do not use partitions on my own SSD either. Its only has 124GB of space so imo there is no need for paritions ;)

How many instances of d3 do you run on your i7? What version of Trinity are you using? How about "before" when there weren't any problems? You said it reaches 55% load, how about before? Is your CPU overclocked, what temperatures does it go up to? How about the memory( i have the same RAM and it could be very hard to tweak, at least with AMD, don't know about intel), do you use stock timings and voltage etc settings?
Did you do a malware sweep? How about registry files cleaning? What about windows updates?

And lastly, i recommend the TONY routine; or in other words do the following: Delete everything. I mean everything. Remove the demonbuddy dependables (.NET 4 / 4.5 and visaul redist) do a restart, then install them again. Install diablo again (on the ssd). Make a fresh install of DB + plugins (on the ssd). Put the d3starter on the ssd, put YAR there as well.
I personally would do a format to C: just to be sure there isn't anything shitty left. Also i'd recommend a "lite" version of windows 7, this is a custom version you can download (google it) it is usually (x64) ~1 gb before you install it.

Yup ive changed FPS and everything is back to normal! i will propably set them lower than 40 because im experimanting with TPS and reset chace right now :) 13TPS looks good for me.

d3 prefs arent necessary right now but ive them on my hardware and can use them anytime soon :)

I think my problems are solved and i would like to thank u for big input and saving me a lot of time trying to figure it by myself :) Cheers!

Thread can be closed already so if any admin read this feel free to do it :)

1 Right now only 3 instances but im going to increase number after banwave.
2. Trinity version 17.2.1 - gonna download 17.2.2 just realized its there.
3. Ive described how it was b4 in 1st post and 2nd i guess (17-20% b4 w/o any changes with db/jar/plugins)
4. my CPU is lightly overclocked 3,8 ghz atm but today my friedn is going to overclock it to 4,5 or so - im newbie at this so propably wont be able to answer rest of overclocking related questions :)
5. Havent tweaked ram yet - dunno if my mate will gonna let u know l8er
6. "malware sweep?ę dunno what does it mean :P
7. i had fresh windows instaled on fresh SSD so i guess everything is fresh - i meant registry files
8. i havent updated windows - shall i?

Always update your windows!

Sweep for malware means make a scan for malicious worm-like things that are not full blown viruses, but more like things that are gonna slow down your pc. Sometimes those can send information about you out. Even toolbars and such usually count as malware. Tell your friend to download some malware software and also something that'd check your registry files for errors. He'll know what to do :)

About the CPU usage, your i7 should not be getting 50% load with 3 instances of d3, this is just ridiculous. i7 has enormous potential and is said to be able to easily run 10+ instances of d3. Something muse be definitely wrong, but your posts do not contain any clues about what it might be, so i suggest monitoring load and temperatures.

Setting fixed max fps has solved my problem tbh :) looks like easiest way is the best one :) here is some info for u about overclocking but tbh my mate have told me that he doesnt have enough time right now to tune it properly and get max out of it :) Ahh i dont have that good power supply only 500V and he belives its not enough for high end overclocking :) He hasnt changed too much in settings:

Multiplier 45
CPU: 1,35V
3,5ghz from 4,5

Could i ask u to list ur modifications if u are using u7 3770k ? :) it might be helpful for my mate in a future if we decide to overclock it even more :)

I am using amd processors for all my configurations. I assumed you are using d3prefs with fixed fps, this is one of the main things you gotta do. I am glad you don't have a problem any more. Happy botting

You cant take over someone else his modifications. Unless your hardware is exactly the same (CPU cooler, RAM, Moatherbaoard etc..) as that of somebody else ;)

Thanks and same to You :) btw i may PM u with few questions about botting with monks, if u dont mind ofc :)
