Alright, my PC is starting to shit itself so i'm in need of a new one. Just wanting someone who has a PC that can easily run 5x WoWs on low settings + another "decent" game on high settings without fps lag. Please let me know of your specs and around what it cost you and how long ago it was that price.

Thanks.

if you're wanting another game on high settings, that draws a lot of cpu power, ram, and vram

I suggest you get a cheap botting rig. I have a laptop that is a 17.1" duo core 2.0ghz intel-m, 4gb ddr2 ram, 512mb-m gfx (up to 1024mb shared vram) that can easily run 10 (let alone 5) wow's on low settings.

I bought it on ebay for $125 b/c the video card (integrated) had a well known nvidia problem with it overheating and it needed a simple re-flow. I upgraded the ram from 2gb to 4gb and it works great. I stuck it on a cooling pad and clean the dust out of it weekly

Also, consider running Gamebooster (avail from download.com or iobit)

lukeyboy89; It will be much easier to give us your budget and work from that, the reason being is that I just spent ?1300 on a completely new system and would advise you to get the same but if your budget doesn't match I end up wasting both your time and mine.

I'm contemplating building another rid myself. Keeping an eye on this thread - not because I don't know what to buy, but because I find everyone's input interesting.

Where do you people work to drop this kind of money?
After bills I can barely afford to pay the gas to get my ass back to work to start the next months bills.

Price isn't really the issue for me, its not buying something thats total overkill (like a $1000 extreme processor etc). I'll send you the parts list from my local store (cheapest thats local).

If you can make a PC from that, that suits me needs (5x WoW + Decent game on Max settings without any lag).

Months of saving and 4-5 weeks of back breaking 13hr shifts :(

Will build a list whilst at work mate, will give me something to do :D

Thanks a tone Synik, if you choose parts that have a great level of overclocking ability i can probably pay someone to overclock stuff for me since im a little scrub with overclocking.

I am also looking to get a new PC setup for botting. Kick are there still deals like this on ebay? i would love to get a cheap laptop that can run that many WoW's :)

you gotta look buddy. if you know how to fix a laptop (replace a screen, a cd rom, keyboard, wifi are most common problems) then you can get great deals... you just have to look. Also, its best to PM the seller before just "bidding" as they can easily take it down and you 2 can make a deal w/o eBay fee's, or if you like eBay's protection policies... then I suggest that you have them stick a "buy it now" button up with your price

?1309 in total, considering spending another ?100 on some after market GPU coolers because these 460's run a little hot.

So why waste $1000 on a gaming rig, or a computer alone, and buy a slow as He(( Hard Drive , I can't understand why you people are more worried about processor and memory then you are your Hard drive idc how fast ur cpu is, if you cant load game textures/scenarios fast then ur cpu is gonna be bottle necked by the HDD. Please don't reply to this post with something you have no clue what your talking about this isnt meant to be a troll post, but educational.

A simple botting machine?

Newegg.ca - ASRock H55M-LE LGA 1156 Intel H55 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820144461

Newegg.ca - Intel Core i5-760 Lynnfield 2.8GHz 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80605I5760

Newegg.ca - XFX HD-567X-ZNF3 Radeon HD 5670 1GB 128-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

The rest is on you, don't cheap out too much on the PSU.

That's $421.67 USD for the major parts. You can get away with an i3 processor as well, but the i5 7xx series are the only quad-cores at the 200 dollar mark.

Or you can go AMD and grab a mobo + quad-core cpu for around $220 USD, I'm a big fan of the intel chips currently though, :-).

I assume you are talking about my specs, please re-read the bit where it says Primary HDD, should really be labelled as Primary HD but nevermind.

Going to bed Synik, looking forward to a build when i wake up? :D:D

Ok, took a quick look at that list and in all seriousness its a but lame, they don't stock/list much. So I have put together a list of hardware which will work very well together and should not be massively expensive.

Case: NZXT Pantom Enthusiast
CPU: Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz (Suggest a stable 4GHz overclock.)
Mobo: Asus P6X58D-E Intel X58 Socket 1366
RAM: Muskin Redline Ridgeback 6GB PC3-12800 1600MHz (Will over clock to 2000MHz speeds easily.)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 (Biggest and best air cooler available, comes with top class thermal paste.)
PSU: Coolermaster Silent Pro 850Watt Modular
Main Hard Drive: Muskin Callisto Deluxe 60GB SSD
Second Hard Drive: Any Sata-II drive, could even use existing drives if you have them
Graphics: EVGA GTX 460 1024MB PCI-E (Maybe get two and run them in SLI, I tested a single card on WoW Ultra settings and it runs fine but two will be even better.)
DVDr/w: The new mobos do not support IDE onboard anymore so you need a SATA based one which are easy to find.

At my prices its around ?1000 GBP, obviously thats for a single graphics card and not including any DVDr/w or additional drives if you need to buy more. Just remember this is very good hardware so the price reflects this, you can go cheaper but why buy cheap parts and ruin the whole rig :)

As for the overclocking its relatively straight forward, my advice would be to take a look around on Overclock3D :: Technology News & Reviews for a better idea of settings and what to aim for.
