Hey everyone,

Over the last little while I've enjoyed Honorbuddy as a semi-casual botter using a single instance of HB on my main (fairly old) account with great success, (hit 200k gold for the first time recently) and I am really thankful to be able to still enjoy the "finer things" in WoW without having to play 24/7. However I am becoming quite paranoid about protecting my main (and only) account that I have due to it's age and the amount of unobtainable stuff I've earned over the years etc.

I'll cut to the chase: My question is, how do I start botting on a single (or more..?) separate account and get the gold to my main account without risking a ban? I know there's always a risk, I just mean without GREATLY risking my main account. I'm willing to pay the initial start up cost for the expansions, and I reckon I can just pay monthly for the second bot with tokens from the gold it earns. I don't care about selling the gold for real cash at the moment, I just would like to be able to supply my main account with a solid stream of gold.

Is there an up to date guide for this? All I can find are about 5+ account botting teams written years ago, which I am not prepared to invest the time into quite yet. From what I've gathered, the process would involve hiding/changing my computer's IP, buying the expansions/game from a non-Blizzard seller and using a fake name for any payments. As far as the gold goes, it sounds like most people have the main account create a guild and have one of the non-bot toons as Guild Master, and using the guild bank to make the gold trade after inviting the botting toon to it. No idea how far off I am with all that, but please correct me if necessary (or just explain it in greater detail).

If anyone has any experience with this sort of thing and could shed some light on how I can achieve this, I would be very grateful! Thanks for reading and good luck with your botting.

EDIT: Please just PM me if you have any input I suppose this shouldn't be put into light for Blizz to read :P

Hey Navy thanks for the quick reply. I read the guide you linked earlier, and while I agree the guide is quite good, it doesn't really cover the aspect of setting up the bot account itself or protecting your main. I am not looking to shuffle the AH or cycle items into gold etc, rather I am looking for a guide on how to set up the second account and transfer the gold safely. Cheers

I dont think you will find a "guide" for that. Just as it would be a playbook for botters, it would also give "someone" a tool to use to find botters.

Using guilds to transfer gold has been the most effective. It is even better if it is an active "Real" guild. That is a bit more difficult to pull off.

That is true, I suppose people don't really post that stuff on an open forum where Blizz overlords can read it. In this case I will only ask this question as I think I can figure everything else out: Must the second account be on a different IP/VPN? I have read several times they do not check IP, but I have also heard lots of accounts being banned because of association of the account to the other one's IP ? Thx again.

Also: Anyone willing to help me further please just PM me.

Anyone who says multiple accounts were banned based on IP are making an "Inductive Leap"

I run multiple bots off the same IP and have never had more than one account banned at a time.

I also use VPNs extensively but not for the purpose of obfuscation.

Interesting. I suppose everything is intrinsically risky in this area. Thanks for the info +1.

As stated above if you don't go crazy you don't really need all of these but it depends on how many hours each day you want your suicide gold farming accounts to work.

Different Install.

VMWare. New Mac. New IP VPN Etc.

Different Payment Method.

Guild Bank.

My experience is different:

I have a main account and a farm account. With the main account play with CR and level up with Kicks. With the farm account I farm all sorts of things and send the gold and items via mail to my main account.

Same PC, same IP, NO VPN, No new Mac, ALL THE SAME.

I was no banned in May 13.

2 Years now doing this. (knock on woods)

It may be no the same with others ppl

Hey Doll, I would suggest getting the bot set up and get your druid to lvl 100, cause that is what you will find grinds the best. Get the lvl 700 PvP gear from Asharan should only take you a day of grinding. Then go to town grinding on Gold. After you do that, have that character put the money he has erned into the Guild bank, and make sure you able to get access to it and all that you will need. If you are trying to do it and stay in a current guild then you are out of luck with saftey. The Gold can and will be tracked if you are racking it up. But if you put it into the Guild bank you will have access to it at any time.

I've got maybe around 1000 wow accounts. I can absolutely guarantee that blizzard can ban based on IP.

This is seriously easy.
Step one, Get second account, not attached to your battle.net.
Step Two, Use kicks profiles to get it to max lvl.
Step Three, Use the bot to do everything you do on your main normally to make gold.
Step Four, Put money in a guild bank that both toons share. ( nice if they aren't the only two toons but still not a big deal.)
Step Five, Profit.

But for real just take what you need out when you need it other wise its just a wallet. Its fine. many none botters have alt guilds for storing gold and mats. till the stack size grew to 200 i had 5 guilds to hold everything but just used one to store gold. Just don't let the Bot be GM of that guild just in case it gets banned and you cant access the guild money.

I did not say they can't. I am saying, it does not happen as often as people say it does.

i lost my main account back in tbc, never used bot on that one. good old glider days :P
