Need Help adjusting Artillary Targeting

I'm looking through how the targeting for the artillery is "weighted" and would like to know what to change to get the desired effect.

I would like to do two things:

1. Change the firing to fire only at 100%aiming (when the reticule stops focusing)

2. Change the "firing place" when targeted... Let me explain:

In a first person shooter, you have something called "ping correction" and "pre-aim", I know it's not a first person shooter but it illustrates what I'm after. During Firing with the SPG it misses because it does not fire at the correct place. It locks on the target, from what looks like the games auto-aim feature, waits for it to be not moving.. then fires. Playing with the SPG, you will miss nearly 100% of the time if you fire like this. Since it is a trajectory, you must aim just a little bit behind them to get the kill. You should be able to mathematically express how much "over-aim" is needed based on the distance from the "pawn". If you aim this way, you will hit the target nearly 100% of the time. Let me link to what the aiming should be and will better illustrate what I'm talking about; I watched this video and it literally changed the way I manual aim the SPG.. I went from being frustrated and missing everytime (Because I was aiming dead center of the tank) to hitting and killing 4+ tanks a match (most of the time).

Aiming the SPG

So if you change the targeting to aim just a little behind the tank it will hit nearly dead on. I think this could be achieved by forcing the aim to add after lock, before fire a few more Meters, then fire.. since it should be lined up already and NOT firing at a moving target.

Thank you for your help and assisting me.

Good Morning,

Although I agree with everything you are stating. I wouldn't hold your breath on a fix. You might get some attention on this but you will likely get no assistance in the matter. It's best to think of the artillery feature as a side thought at best.

I'm sorry to bring you this news but trying to set your expectation bar. I'm waiting on proper meshes so I can give the community excellent profiles. It's been a month, I've PMed about it, opened a thread about it and talked about it tactfully and directly. I have yet to receive support. Best of luck!

Partly aiming skills for arti has alot todo with terrain, that is a variable in every location and every map.... not likely going to have a program be able to calculate all the variance to suit the application of playing arti..
