Nav Or Mesh server is DOWN, NEEDS FIXING asap

I'd be willing to pay per download for a client side mesh, if bandwidth costs are the issue.
 
It would honestly help everyone... because the ones willing to pay will have it client side, and the one's who don't want to pay, will have less people hogging the server :D. Everyone wins, oh and bossland makes some money. so win win win?

Those are actually fantastic points. The unknown variable is then how difficult it would be for the developers to re-code the bot to work this way. Also, they must consider what impact this might have on pirating, although said pirate would have to delve for memory locations after each patch.
 
You're probably right, I honestly don't know how difficult this would be for the developers. So I probably shouldn't talk, but as far as security/pirating goes, isn't honorbuddy's nav client side? The authentication would still remain on the server, just the nav files would be downloaded. Also weekly changes would not have to change the entire file, just whichever files are changed correct? Think SVN could be of any use? I just thought the main reason BW was server and not client downloads, was because the file size is like 20GB versus wow's 1GB? (not really sure how large wow's is)? I would also note that I am willing to seed the massive file 24/7 if that's of any use, or utilize my FTP server...
 
Just to update everyone, Tony is aware of the issue and trying to reach Aevitas or any other developer who can restart the server. With luck, we won't be down for too much longer.

By the way, next time I think it would be prudent to start a new thread for any new server issues. Messages in older threads tend to get buried pretty quickly.

To verify if nav server is down just open bot, start it, go on Info Dumping tab, and from "Log Level" drop down select "Diagnostic" and check messages in log window. If you will see:

"Generating path to .... for Quest Id: ....
Waiting for path request to finish...
Generating path to .... for Quest Id: ....
Waiting for path request to finish...
Generating path to .... for Quest Id: ....
Waiting for path request to finish..."

then nav server is down.
BTW, do not leave log level on "Diagnostic" because will generate really high logs.. switch back to "Normal" or "Quiet" after you check nav servers status.
 
Good news! When started, the Buddy Wing log now reads:

This planet's navigational data has not been fully loaded yet, please try again later.
Click to expand...

This means the server has been restarted, and we should be functional again once all the data has loaded (30 minutes+).

Stopped working for me again... then the bot crashed when I tried to get a log.
 
I think it's running again, for now.

so is this not worth purchasing or what? seems to go down alot. for only being able to buy 90 day keys at 15 dollers?
