I made a mining + herb profile in Valley of the Four Winds. I figure I've been hoarding it to myself for long enough and ought to release it to you guys before Blizz nerfs the spawn rates on Herb/ore. The yield rates so far have been absolutely crazy--higher yields than typical flying mount GB profiles in Cataclysm. I don't have exact yields/hr since Grind Bot does not track this, but I've made easily 25k+ in maybe 10 hours of running this profile. Ore prices will drop and respawn rates for herbs/ore will be nerfed soon, so act now while this still works well.
Great profile for leveling. I've also leveled from 87 -> 88 using just this profile. Each node gives the xp of killing a mob and since there are an insane amount of nodes in the areas, it is (arguably) as fast as grinding. Only thing is, you're making a ton of gold with this profile and it does not appear to be highly trafficked currently (and I'm on a high pop server).
No hostile mobs. Most other grind bot profiles intended for mining + herb are slower because they have to fight mobs and grind bot often times will skip a node if it's still in combat. To prevent this, I've went through a painstaking process of blacklisting all areas that include hostiles so that the Bot does not get stuck up fighting. The hostiles in the area have a tendency to bug out and keep you in combat indefinitely, so it was a real pain in the rear otherwise.
Run in Grind Bot. Maximize looting radius. And you're good to go.
