I really dont call bs on this seems legit, I remember knowing a chick who was making $2000 a week from gold and instead of placing it in the bank she changed it to gold and kept it in a safe at her house. 32 farmers is a shitton to have I know people with 20 but not 32 and at this stage in time gold is worth jack shit so this was a once in a life time journey. Congrats and I hope you leave wow forever get a real job.

As for the other guy who said it could not be me due to grammar, lol Im running a business fine and started it at 18 and 7 years strong. As to this date I think I have lost maybe around 400-500 accounts over the last 3 years.

Got 11 computers just standing, not a single bot active at the moment due to it being such a fucking drag to start and monitor them. Then you're always afraid of bans because u cant think rational about it.

How you should think about it:

1. The bot WILL get banned, it's not a question about if but when.
2. Automate everything (clock everything you're doing and start automating tasks that take the longest), if you don't know how to write simple scripts. Learn. This will help you tremendously.
3. Figure out ways to bot that are safer than the regular joe. This is quite hard and takes money and time <-Things you don't want to give up.
4. Large scale botting is associated with taxes, expect to pay 30-40% (60% here in sweden) of your profit to the government.
5. If your profile isnt 100% AFK-able, dont run it. 100% afk in my book means that u can run 10 bots for 1 week without them ever getting stuck. This is equal to one getting stuck per 240 hours.
6. Running 1 bot and supervising it is mega cool, and the profits are really good. Just because you're monitoring it and tinkering with it so much because it does not take any time with just one bot. Never take this GPH and think you can scale it to 30 or 100 bots. Reasonable GPH to scale is around 300-400. This is if you werent the guy that first figured out that pick pocketing is really awesome.
7. Don't ever start more than 5 accounts at a time, it's easy to get flagged.
8. Avoid public ***s.
9. When you've made enough money that you've doubled your ROI (return of investment), consider that bot a success and don't care if it gets banned.


I would like to end this message with this little question:
In the gold farming world, who makes the money? Is it the guy that does the farming or the guy that sells the equipment needed to farm? Or the guy that retails it to customers?

Here are some answers to a similar question to hint you int he right direction:
Bitcoins: Those selling the mining ASICS or graphic cards makes the big money.
US gold rush in the 19th century: Those selling all the hardware needed to dig for gold made the money.

Nice story. You're right, not all botters make a lot of money off botting. I probably made $300-500 in 2-3 months. I had time to kill and was unemployed so it was better than nothing.
I didn't bot 24/7, I only had 3 accounts (main for no botting, alt account for AH, guild bank, and 1 druid for herbs/alch, then the last one just for mining). My alt and third account got banned and I haven't done hardcore botting since then. Just some leveling stuff.

I think the ones making the biggest money are gold selling sites, but then again they are not automated ...

Not sure how to see botting after now about 4 years, i mean you got to see the numbers, get ROI and then you can understand what your real income is, I was also afk botting but it never hit the 100%, there are certain steps that need your input, like gold selling to the customers, except you want to invite them in your guildbank, or trying out new profiles, or just checking once a week on all of them for half an hour or so - in the end I think many people are like " yeah im at the pc anyways so its not work for me" but you really need to write down the time you spend on this and then you have your income per hour, and that can help to decide whether you want to continue or not.

For me creating Emails/Bnet accounts and chars, also setting up all of the new info in HB/HBRelog is the biggest pain in the ass, botting is also only an extra income for me right now, ive been doing it quite successful in the past having no other income at all, and this is something that can really destroy you, there is a thread on ownedcore by SniffingPickles about his story and botting making him kinda sick, and I think I also was there once, having a regular job means that you dont have to rely on these earning, your just making some extra cash and if you wake up at midnight you dont have to check whether everything is running, because its like a hobby that brings in some extra $.

The LOL thing is that whoever leaked the shoulder enchant method (i forgot his name, but a very smart guy) could have made millions if he kept it a secret.

I have found at least 3 methods that fit the criteria: 1. NO ONE is doing them or talking about them. 2. WILL NEVER get nerfed because no one thinks of doing such a thing

And the shoulders were just the MoP variant for brute cash-outs, which was bit complicated vs the BC and WOTLK ones like Elementium Bars etc.

Actually in EE you dont really have to care for taxes, here you are taking 95-97% off the funds (3-7% fees for Paypal/Skrill etc. transactions and currency exchange applies) ... usually.

Cant ruin your life if 2-3 ppl doin and sharing jobs. So in theory you can easly run 30+ bots and make 8 hour shifts idd its less profit (per person) but if doin it alone and ruin yourself its all bout greed.

but yes goin big requires alot of knowlage, time, nerves and most important is investing money ( 10k+ eu ) if you buy all pc and all whats needed to run as it should.

If you start slow and take the time learning instead of trying to go for instant max profit, actually, it isn't that hard (until a certain level of course).
I mean what are the risks? If you have a gaming pc anyway, you start with some accounts, there is actually no financial risk at all.

You can make gold easier then ever before, no matter if it is 1 account or a farm. In the beginning we had nothing, no cc's, no automation, no nothing.

So if anyone takes his time, starts "studying" how to bot, gets some knowledge and starts with a few accounts until he reaches roi and continues like this, why not recommend this? And how is this not reallife?

Of course there is a difference between managing bots like 24/7 and doing nothing else and "real life".
But i definitely can't agree with, that someone with the correct approach shouldn't go for it.

(+ i am sure some "oldschool botting" guys are sitting in front of the pc smiling when reading 10k.....

You are 100% correct! We can make 1k this month, the next can get lower to 0.5k, the month later we can top to 3k.
The market is very unstable and unpredictable, but with some planning (again) we can manage to maintain some stable money-flow.

We need to be open to any new opportunity, like the milling dupe in 2013 - I had less than 12 hours window to dupe Darkmoon cards on some mule accounts. Made it fast enough to complete some decks, worth 1.5m gold on my server, and mule them sefe enough off the mule accounts, before the targeted ban-wave hit!
And had 200-300 non-matched cards left over, which helped me to slowly complete another 50 decks in the next month for extra 500k gold income.

Controversery - when the chinese started to dupe gold in late Cata, the goldmarket had collapsed for several months, noone would even buy your gold on 0.1$....

When you are already playing with the AH, you have appropriate AH-related addons, like adding vendor-sell-price to your tooltips, so you cannot miss the 18g 75s vendor price of those enchants, and you DO NOT need some geek to leak such obvious and common sense fact!
