I recently made it possible to open 2 clients of D3 by doing the following (suggested in another thread):

1. Open diablo III install location (Windows 7: C:/Program Files/Diablo III)
2. Right click .agent.db -> Open with...
3. Select program from list, select Notepad
4. Locate:
"supports_multibox" : false,
5. Change to:
"supports_multibox" : true,
6. Save file
7. Go to C:/ProgramData/Battle.net
8. Delete the folder titled "Agent"

However, I have a major issue with it. Whenever I load in (which takes forever), and when I click resume game, it gives me the error "You are unable to join the game at this time". As I said, it takes a few minutes being frozen to get to this point. I have tried choosing a different character and it does the same thing.

Anyone running multiple copies of D3 able to toss me some advice?

Thanks!

Did you guys make a new folder of the game?
Copy it over and add -launch to a shortcut to the new Diablo3.exe?
When you make the new folder make sure to rename it to like "Diablo Tres".

I haven't tried to log in on both windows, but I got both open from the two install folders.

The reason it is loading so slow is because both of your running windows were trying to pull from the same file, and had to wait for each other to load certain files.
Having 2 installs will speed this up.
