Hi everyone,
I'm a new botter and I want to take it seriously. I want to generate a lot of golds so I guess multiple account is the best way to achieve that. I was thinking for the start about 5 to 10 account but comes my question : How can I make 5 to 10 account run on my pc without make it burning. I don't have a war machine for the moment.
Thank you for helping me and sorry for my bad english (trying to progress ^^ )

start small. just to see if you like it before you invest.

Start small, preferably with 1 or 2 bots. Setting up and managing a larger crew of bots (I'd say 3 or more) can be very time consuming and challenging considering the amount of inventory and profiles you have to manage and move around. If you find no issues handling the amount of stuff one or two bots can create then add more later on.

As frosticus said, don't waste money setting everything up finding out it's not what you were looking for.

Very, it's all about being smart and finding a niche that not many people are in. More bots don't mean a linear increase of gold gained per se (may be some exceptions here, but as a general rule of thumb). For example: just moving truckloads of ore via the AH is high risk and isnt a viable option if you have 5+ bots doing it 16 hours a day. You won't be able to move all of it fast enough before more ore comes in. However if you were to craft or prospect that ore into something else and then sell that it may end up giving you more gold while you have less inventory to deal with.

Aim to bot smart, don't aim to bot big :)

These are wise words, running bots takes more time than people think. im up to a team of 5 after about 2 months of botting and can handle it but would be hard to dive right into that. learn what there is, how it works, read up on the forums then try start with 1 and experiment then go from there.

I replied to your PM, but as this may be helpful to other startups I would like to continue the discussion on here if you have any other questions.

Yes but it get far of my first question. If assume that I want to run 10 bots, how should I do to not burn my pc ?

Simple answer: You can't, if your PC isnt powerful.

Long answer: You shouldn't, for a wide range of reasons. The most important being that if ANY of the accounts you have running get flagged for botting by other players or more importantly blizzard they can see that you have 10 accounts online from the same computer/location and ban all of them. Please listen to the above comments and start small, with 1 maybe 2 bots. You can dream to be a billionaire all you want but it isnt going to happen by just throwing bots online with no purpose.

I promise you if you do that with 10 bots you won't last 2 weeks. You will run into the following issues:
- You will have to take a week off work to get all of those bots ready to farm anything (set up a configuration, combatroutine, profiles, log on and off behavior, guild banks for transferring and mail behavior, plugins etc etc)
- You will not be able to sell the materials if you have all bots doing the same thing, meaning your guildbank will be full after 4 days and you will need to keep creating more in order to store everything
- You will have to spend literally hours online to list and relist all the materials gathered, constantly being undercut by other players, botters and AH players if you do not have a bot doing this.
- At the end of approx. week 3 all of your bots, possibly including your millionaire main account will get banned because one of them got too many reports from players for either flooding the auction house or farming for too many hours. If you plan to use an account for a longer period of time for botting do not run it from the same computer as others. Build a powerful PC that can emulate computers so it appears as if each wow is different.

You are no where near ready or have the set up to run that many bots. Freeze the accounts if you have already bought them and get started running just one, if after 1-2 weeks you feel you make good reliable money add another. Expand from there until you have 10, if that's what you are aiming at.

I cannot help you any more than that. Every realm is different, so any advice I give you that works great for me may not work for you at all. Find something your server needs, and give it to them for outrageous profit. THAT is how the game is played :P

Ok thank you for this precise answer. For the moment I didnt find a profile that make a good profit so i'm far away from the Milion.
I saw paid profils , are they worth it and profitable ?

I'm just getting into the multibot game now. Plan on going for 5 bots for levelling purposes. My ultimate goal is to have one of every class/race combination at level 90.

What I wanna know is how can I run multiple bots on one machine each on different VPNs/IPS. I can use Virtualbox for VM but on win 7 it runs super slow and in win xp it won't let me install wow. Any help or tips?
