.
Just to clarify, you
do not need two Diablo installations, just one.
You
do not need a separate program to run multiple windows
We are going to use a simple command line option to override Diablo's Launcher and allow us to run multiple game instances from the same installation.
However, you will need
two DemonBuddy folders; one for each account.
Here is how you create a shortcut with the "
-launch" command with Diablo 3.
Go to the folder where you have Diablo installed.
- Default is "Program Files > Diablo 3" but it will vary from person to person
You will see two applications in the Diablo III folder:
.
Diablo III Launcher

Diablo III
You need to
Right Click on the
Diablo III application
- Choose "Create Shortcut"
- You will now see "Diablo III - Shortcut" in the folder.
- Move "Diablo III - Shortcut" to the desktop to make it more accessible
Once it's on the Desktop,
Right Click on
Diablo III - Shortcut
- Choose "Properties"
- You will see a box marked "Target:"
- This box will contain the file path to "Diablo III.exe"
- You need to add the "-launch" at the end of this line, but outside of the quotations
As an example, if your Target box looked like this:
Target: "C:\Diablo III\Diablo III.exe"
Then you need to change it to this:
Target: "C:\Diablo III\Diablo III.exe" -launch
I always have used -w and -launch when I do this. Therefore, mine looks like this:
Target: "C:\Diablo III\Diablo III.exe" -w -launch
Hopefully that works for you.
EDIT:
I would also suggest that you take a look at t he following guide for multibotters.
It will give you a good idea of how to setup your Trinity and group. Even if you're starting out with a 2 person group, it will be helpful.
