Mr.MixedMode - Quest and PVP

What is this?
This is a plug in that allows Honorbuddy to switch between questing and pvp modes automatically without user interaction.

What does it do?
When you start up the bot in quest mode and let it go, once you run out of quests for that level, the bot will start grinding to finish off the level, but with this plug in as soon as it starts grinding it, restarts the bot in PVP mode, and starts PVP'ing untill it dings, then it switches back to Questing, and starts doing the quests for the next level.

How do i use it?
just install the plug in to your plug ins folder, then enable it in honorbuddy.

Anything else planned?
Instancebuddy support will hopefully be added, to allow the bot to switch from questing to instance running. as well as having it run to the Profiles repair vender, or mail box before switching to pvp.

Anything else i need to know?
there are no checks for minimum level, so if your under level 10 dont run this plugin, also make sure you switch to pvp, and configure the bot settings to pick what battlegrounds its going to join, then change it back to quest and let it have at it.

Very nice indeed. Not much use for me leveling an alliance rogue but I've got a horde shammy in the making and it'll be used then. Cheers.

THANKS! This is almost what I was looking for. The small difference is that I was looking for a plugin to queue and enter BGs while questing, not just after you finished your quests. Is this an easy modification to do? If not this is still a lot better than just grinding when you don't have quests to do. thanks for your hard work! =]

The problem with that, is most of the QuestOrder profiles have specific level ranges at which they will complete certain quests. If you are PvPing while questing, you will likely outlevel the profile and throw things out of sync. I'm sure there are ways to fix this, but not sure how/if it would work in the current state of things.

i mean it can be done im sure, but its just much more work, because i would have to write code to queue for the bg, and then deal with it all manualy. not only that some quests if you stop them halfway though fail to complete. once i get more verification its working, ill add in Instancebuddy support, and that will help out things a lot.

When it finishes and swaps to PVP mode. Will it function like Mixed mode and continue grinding while queuing for a BG or will it simply stop where it finished the last quest?

If it just stands there queueing at the last quest turn in this is going to be hell for getting ganked.

once its done questing, and starts grinding, it stops the bot, and puts it in pvp mode. it will be fine if your last quest is in a quest area, otherwise it wouldnt matter.

So lets give an example.

I hand in my final quest for that level n the Rebel Camp (Alliance) in STV. A place that gets ganked on a regular basis by horde players.

Will it stand in the middle of the camp doing nothing while it queues or will it grind while it waits (like mixed mode)?
 
When I use this plugin, the bot switches from questing mode to pvp mode and then doesn't do anything. Wouldn't it be better to switch to mixed mode and continue grinding while waiting? :>

Styx.BotManager.Instance.SetCurrent(BotManager.Instance.Bots["PvP"]); -> changing PvP to Mixed in the plugin did it for me :)

Any word on whether this is getting updated?

Could be a cracker now with random BG mode at 50.
