Just a reminder to people that cross server realms are coming out soon with the release of Mists of Pandaria, so if you have any profiles sitting around like:

- Aeonaxx
- Camel Sands
- Time-Lost

I suggest you start them soon as possible as getting these when Mists of Pandaria come out will proove to be more difficult due to large populated zones.

WOW! all the zones are gonna be cross server like the battlegrounds now?!

Lol, complete and utter bullshit.
Do not listen to this guy.

what? everyone knows about cross server zones. where you been? it is coming to WoW, but it will be level based for zone questing and WPvP. I highly doubt all zones will become cross-server.. but better safe then sorry. definitely get all the rare spawns you want now in case those zones do become flooded.

cross realm zones will be tolbarad and wintergrasp, but srsly deepholm/uldum ? rly ?

You're all confused on how it works... When you go into that area you have a choice to QUE up for that area just like a dungeon so you can find other people on different realms doing those quest. It's not like once you enter that area you're automatically going to see random people.

Q. How do cross-realm zones work?
When you?re in a zone that is set as a ?cross-realm zone? you?ll notice that in addition to the players you?d ordinarily see from your realm, you?ll also see (and be able to play with) players from other realms. This will happen seamlessly, and players will be able to group and quest as they normally would with players from their own realm.

Q. What about resources or gathering nodes, will those be shared too?
Resources and nodes will be available to all parties within the shared area the same as always. We will be keeping a close eye on the impact of area sharing and should an area become too populated, we are capable of adjusting how many realms are able to connect to a shared area.

thanks xD i was lazy

Ok, now that it is better explained it makes more sense lol
It is the first time I've heard about it but the way the OP put it was that ALL zones would be cross server and that didn't really make sense.

Cross-Realm Zones Coming to Beta - World of Warcraft

Q. What areas will be shared?
This can vary from realm to realm and relies on how densely populated (or underpopulated) an area is. Capital cities and areas with regularly high populations will not be eligible for area sharing.

so that's every high end gathering zone out of the question, so considering where they place rares theres really nothing to worry about (ie uldum, storm peaks during wotlk)

i wouldnt consider uldum and stormpeaks as "area with regularly high population" ;)

Most of Burning Crusade and Wrath of Lich King areas are extremely quiet so I would consider all of them up for it. I am not sure about Deepholm and some other cata areas, but some are fairly quiet to me on Grim Batol and thats a populated server... Only places busy are cities, most of time people just raiding.

Maybe your right I gave the impression it will be ALL zones. However most of the ones with rares mount drops in it, could be effected.

so basicly blizz is saving money on server transfers and hopes with this, some servers feel "less alone" now

anyway, another bullshit feature no one asked for like cross invites on real id.

btw iirc rares / mounts will be account wide, so no point farming it on 10 no more, so i think competition, will be allr
