Monk vs T6 ghom – Whats wrong?!

Hello guys, I need your help because my monk (or me) is noob…
I need about 3 minutes to kill him…

Gear:
Head: Andy (17%fire, 7%as)
Shoulders: Aughild’s (8%cdr)
Neck: Mara (20%fire, 9,5% cc)
Chest: Cinder (19%fire, 3 gems)
Hands: Magefist (20%fire, 6%as, 9%cc)
Wrists: Aughild’s (19%fire, 5,5%cc)
Waist: Hellcat (7%as, 3% elite dmg)
Ring#1:SOJ (20% fire, 28% elite dmg)
Ring#2uzzle ring (7%as, 46%cd, 6%cc)
Legs: Cain’s
Boots: Cain’s
Weapons: not so good

Stats:
Elemental Elite DPS about about 2,3kk
Damage: 1,150,000 (ingame without Breath of Heaven)


Build:
Way of the Hundred Fists – Fists of Fury
Exploding Palm: Flesh is Weak
Mystic Ally: Fire ally
Inner Sanctuary: Forbidden Palace
MoR : Trangression
Breath of Heaven: Blazing Wrath

Passives:
Combination Strike
One With Everything
Sieze the Initiative
Guiding Light

You'd probably want a Furnace for Monk Ghom running. The monk is the best class for rifting, because of the insanity that is exploding palm. Nobody would ever play anything but monk if they gave monks the kind of single target damage that WDs have.
On the flipside, monks are boring as hell to play, but so are pet WDs. I'd rather play my shotgun crusader, because it's more fun.

Solo a couple things..

1. Get a ring of royal grand for your 3 price aughild set bonus. That's hurting your elite DMG.
2. That weapon huh? Sunfire has been good for me plus I run hardcore.
3. Try going blackthornes boots and pants(still needgrand ring)

Yeah ofcourse, I was just referring to what's more fun to gear. Surely you're botting to gear your toons, so that they're more fun to play?

With Mara's I really doubt he kills Ghom in 3 minutes because he doesn't have enough defense. For a monk the biggest problem on single target Ghom fight is most likely dps. There are some good suggestions above (furnace/sets for increased dmg vs elites), but IMO no matter what you do you won't kill Ghom in 5-15 seconds like other classes do.
