My monks run 4 piece inna. Stack whatever resistance is cheapest (probably lightning or cold). Get a pair of Shenlong's fists pref w/ sockets if its in the budget. Get a Skorn with dex, LoH, and high damage (as in the damage listed under the dps). Get gloves/bracers/shoulders with dex/vit/resist/pickup. Get nats ring and boots. Socket all armor with vit. Get crit where possible. You want lots of crits landing for more cyclones.

Use this spec. Change SSS to Serenity if dying is an issue. Sixth Sense or Seize the Initiative seem to be the same in mp1 farming.

Also use scoundrel for the 3% crit.

How much IPH, GPH and XP per hour for this?
 
all 5 new monks level 60. around 30mil budget for each ( full innas / 50% crit ) all doing about 70-80k dps. plus a 1500dmg weapon swap. glad i made all monks i like them so much better then barbs. im doing MP2 already may do MP3 soon and only 1death per hour on each.

not to mention the new patch monks are getting more dps!? hell yes!!

Will someone be kind enough to post their monk items or be more specific with the things I need to buy to bot without many deaths on mp1-2 (20-30m budget)? I'm gearing my 1st monk atm, was reading "The monk cannon" topic but I feel like its outdated or I'm dong something wrong, items posted there will be much more expensive than ~25m. I'm playing on EU server.

got a 60lvl monk on a 2 day old account ready to get geared for max 50mil
pls post a build/desired stats ;d
i got another monk actually but I've done it for like half an hour, farming 700i/h 24mil exp/h (w/o ring) and 550g/h current lvl 55 but im not sure is it low or okay ;d

What profile?

Running the new Act 3 Leveling profile I got 300k GPH and 20m exp/h, spent ~28m gold on gear and it's level 42 paragon. I have not profit enough to even buy the gear yet. Strange. (running straight 4-5 days)
 
skyhigh or sth, set after combat radius to 15, 20 pickup and 2handers with khimlau or w/e it was with socket and echoing fury in mh with soket
dps is 90k with self buff atm, but real is around 110k from the offhand's 20% dmg to ele dmg,

Running MP3/4 with 1-2 deaths per hour with this setup..
4 Piece innas ( Pants/Armor/Belt/Helm ) try to get all same resist on every piece if you can afford ( even + 20-30 resist cold or w/e single you use helps. )
Rings - 1 oculus ring ( with your single resist if can ) // other- 6crit 150dex/single resist here ( other stats good. avoid crit dmg/vit/loh because they will be 15m+)
Gloves- 10crit/7ias/190dex/single resist ( avoid vit/crit dmg again unless you pay 10-20m)
Bracer- 6crit/190vit/single resist ( large vit gear seems to be cheap on bracers. so go for 180-190 or so and no dex, unless w/dex is cheap enough.)
Shoulders - Vile ward 220dex/single resist ( no vit - around 2-3m this way )
Ammy - Good 9-10crit/200dex/100vit/single resist(avoid crit dmg/loh unless you have the funds.) or a Good maras- 150dex/150vit/allresist/single resist

Now.. weapons is up to you.. but i can tell you what every monk i have uses..
Main -Shen's 1250dmg/850Loh for about 2-5m..( avoid socket save 15m.)
Shield - Stormshield 150dex/32-33% block only prefer 6%/6% reduc
Sweeping switch - Skorn 500+dex 1100-1200dmg ( easy 1mil on AH. ) - Adds 50-70k dmg to your sweeping winds.

Gems - Add whatever you prefer. Skorn i add 80% crit ( most affordable for me ) but some prefer 100%. Armor Do whatever you need. this armor set is setup to be low vit because the gear is cheaper so you may need 3 or 4 Star vit gems.. 29-35k HP is best for MP3/4 especially if you go with the shield. if you had enough to pick up some LoH items then maybe more dex gems.. whatever you prefer at that point. and i use ruby is helm always. higher MF/GF the quicker the better.

Because I didn't want to wait I built my monk yesterday basing on the "The Monk Cannon" topic, I used skills and items as listed there.

It cost me 40m+ and this is what I got:

I dont know is it good or bad but my bot is doing much worse than my other 2 barbarians (well they are 90para+ but still, they are wearing items for max 30mln). I didnt even got 200GPH :/, exp is ~20mln/h+ tho. Im using trinity rutine + tinkaizer 0.7, maybe its something wrong with my settings? If someone could look at them (and my items) I would be very grateful: http://oi50.tinypic.com/jt9b2b.jpg

I just should build another barbarian :(.

I just came back to D3 after a long, long break. I have been seeing people discussing whether or not they should choose barb/Monk. What would you recommend for me, as I have both a barb and a monk in 60, however, I only have 5m atm. Would it be better to gear the monk, and see if its possible to earn money for the barb, or? Also, if I need to earn a little bit extra by hand, what should I do? Or is it more profitable to buy it from RMAH, I mean 0,25 EUR per 1 m
 
Half of my bots are monks half are barbs

Its more or less same crap. They all farm well.

I dunno if im doing the best thing possible, but im gearing em to have around 700 AR 60k HP 125k DPS for babas, and abit more AR, less HP for monks, and around 110k DPS at the end

I am starting with less stats, but MF gear on, and every few plvls i replace MF item with a good item.

I am not sure what budget it is exactly. Prolly around 150M. And am mostly farming Mp1-Mp2 / gettin around 600GHP avage on plvl100 chars, 25M exp on lower.

I do prefer monk overall, but there is no huge difference. maybe max 10%-15% difference in gph (monks > babas), but its kinda random, babas sometimes suprise and go crazy. tho, most of the time for my way of botting, monks > babas
