Monk or Barb??

starting over 5 more bots.. i did 1 monk last time and it seemed to do better then barbs ..he could run MP3/4 easy without many deaths. while barbs needed more gear and still died alot on MP3.

just curious what most use?

I'm sticking with the 10m gold monk builds for mp0. I can never seem to gear barbs to a comfortable level for under 50m. My Monk still does better on gold and xp on a 10m build versus a 50m barb build running same profiles. I agree with smurg though, why are you botting mp3/4?

There' no point, it's progressively worse xp, items/hr, etc.

havent said that id recomend higher MPs, if someone wants to, a barb can get it done.

the only reason why I prefer monk is the fact that monks have a 4 second CC breaker on a 20 second cooldown, otherwise both should be effective at killing, although that sweeping winds exploit is pretty huge for under budget monks

i have a barb and a wd , both wiqh equip 100m (-+ 5m ) , i run them on mp 2 , wd makes 5 runs , barb makes 4 ( ww ) , dunno why u guys choose barb or monk when other chars can grind faster and with low equip...dunno if is just luck but in one month wd found many items ( sold in rmah over 600 euros , barb found 20 euro item in the same time )

Um higher MP = Better drops. especially if your lvl 70-80 with max MF..

i make money by finding that 1 item a day that sells for $90. not more items that never sell.

and im thinking ill make all 5 new bots monks.. go for about 60-70k DPS and survivability for fast MP2/3 runs. thanks for input

I got one of each running. From what I have found, if you are starting out from level 0 monk is overall better. The barb was horrible on the levelling profile and I had to keep intervening to help it through.

Once they reached the paragons and had some decentish farming gear, the barb is slightly faster at clearing. However I still like the monk better overall. Cheaper to equip and not much noticeable difference in gph/Xp etc

Just to add, barb cost about 3 times more to equip for same dps output

Right. The barbs seem to cost 30-40m or so for 70-100k DPS. While a monk costs 10-20 and can do 60k and rarely die. Just seems better. And with 30-40m invested in a monk they can clear just as fast ( I think )

My games come in the mail tommorrow thinking of useing the chuck plugin if I can figure it out and run3 monks and my friends 60 barb manually to level.

I'm running budget monk since 2 days ago and my exp/h is 11m, gph is 130m, have not found anything worthy. It's level 24 paragon right now.

Some days ago I had a 140m worth barb at plevel 58 that was running mp4. He was farming a lot more worthy gear than I ever did on mp1 barb(himself) or mp1 monk. I hope that higher paragon will make a lot diference cause I did not profit enough to cover the cost of the monk gear(around 30m gold) yet.

You are correct. The higher MP level, the higher your MF gets. The higher your MF, the higher chance you get items with more affinities which means the potential for better stat rolls.

Exactly and the only way I can do Mp3/4 with like 2-3 deaths per hour is a monk. Not sure if my barbs are just not geared right or I do something wrong but they seem to die easy even on Mp2/3..

Also, to be honest, a 30-40-50 mil monk can easily faceroll mp3-4-5, maybe even more(did not try more than 5tho). I am pretty confident 50 mil barb can't ever come close to that. And also the item drops.. my mp5 monk geared for ~40 mil makes between 1050 and 1200 iph. This is swap monk ofc, if you play normal build i'd say mp3 would probably be the best item wise. In any case, monk is better than a barb; expensive builds hit harder and cheap builds offer more survivability over a barb. Have 2 lvl 95+ barbs as well, so i am speaking out of experience.

What is swap monk? sorry. this is my first time really making monk bots. always did barbs until now. ( still leveling them )
