Monk builds 1.0.7

I seriously doubt that, but i will try it out, just for the sake of it. It may be the best farming method for a 2handed barb running and killing stuff with rend off map, but i don't think this is nearly as efficient with DB. What are you running, if you don't mind sharing with us :)

EDIT: Yep, tried it at act3, it is ridiculous. I guess this has to be done at act1 with a fast char, such as a barb. What i noticed, was that my monk stopped and attacked a single mob, while 4 champs killed it. This happened at least 5 times. Tried to change the size of trash mob pack. Did not help.

MP10 Crypt of the Ancients only (act 1).

Yeah it's tough to get your char strong enough and Trinity set up well enough to bot it. I still haven't found a way that's super effective, but my gear also is just barely good enough (probably not even) to run MP10 manually.

A3 MP10 isn't worth it.

As for the trash mobs, try decreasing the trash mob radius setting (right next to trash mob pack size or whatever) to 15 or less. This shouldn't be as necessary in CotA though.

I will give it a try, but I still think a normal a3 run at mp3-4-5 will be better in the long term. Cheers for the info bro, that sure seems to be interesting. Maybe in future it's going to be possible to Tempest Rush through mobs and kill just packs of normal ones and skip elites.

If you're running MP0-1 (which you should be if you're a TR Monk) you should set Trinity TR settings to either "Trash mobs + Movement" or, if you have enough DPS to kill Champ packs in 1-2 passes, "Always". Ticks per second needs to be at default or lower.

When I was botting A3 MP0 with my Monk I had it set at "Always", so it would just kill everything with TR and Wave of Light, and was getting about 50-60m xp/hr, 700-900k gph, and 800+iph.

But yeah, if you can afford to spend several hundred milliom, maybe about 1-2b at most on gearing up, MP10 trash mob farming (particularly CotA) results in by far the largest Legendary drop rate (which is what the most valuable items generally are, besides rare jewelry and weapons). Rare armor is almost never valuable because BiS is almost always either legendary or crafted.
 
Any advice on the gear for 200m monk which can do MP10 Keeps2 probably white only maybe elites too?
 
I don't think that's a good idea :) i tried that and it most definitely sucks. Moreover, i am pretty certain white mob farm can't beat a good monk at mp5/6(especially if what they say about 1.0.8 turns out to be true) and detection-wise is way more dangerous. As for gear, i've heard that you need way more than 200 mil to make it work efficiently at mp9(not even 10). So my suggestion would be: DON'T DO IT :)
 
i've had 50m cannon monk on mp7 overnight doing 2-3 elites per run, 2 deaths per hour, yeah its not really low, but he still got like 1.7 legendaries per hour

i don't think mp10 is so far off, maybe +30k HP, some more resists and +100k dps.
 
Thanks for the updated build, its pretty sweet.

I'm a bit unsure though what MP i should be grinding for the best legendary per hour. MP1 im getting 700-800IPH, MP3-4 im getting 600-680IPH but i have to gear and spec more defensively. So would MP1 be better legendary per hour wise?
 
Nah, the lower the MP the lower the legendary drop. MP1 with the price of gear right now is just redundant. i would rather spend 100-200 mil for mp3-4-5.
 
Ah right, thanks. How many deaths/hour do you think i should aim for? Like is it worth bumping up MP even if it causes me to die a few times? Or should i stick with preferably 0?
I tried using that profile you suggested, the skyhigh one but when i start it it says something went wrong, it leaves the game, starts a new one, and just goes in a loop :(. So atm im using rrmix's act 3 but it does get stuck a few times and when it starts stonefront the item per hour drops a lot
 
Yeah, listen, the profile is okay, this particular kind of behavior is triggered, when you are NOT using the right PART of the QUEST. In other words, you need to be set at the LAST PART OF THE QUEST- KILL AZMODAN, i think it is quest nr 7, but im not sure. Anyway, deaths per hour are more of a random thing, tbh. Just use a skorn with LS > 5.2 and u will be fine. Difference between 0 deaths and 1, 2 even 3 per hour isn't that great(drop-wise). I mean, it is always good to be in the <1 DHP range :), but a higher mp also isn't that important. Anywhere between 3 and 5, depending on your gear, is fine. It is kinda like in sports, stats is important, but you always know stuff is great when there is flow to be seen on the court.. watch your toons. if they run fast and smooth, you are fine. then try it at the next MP and u will get the feeling where it performs better :) trust the feeling and you should be fine
