Monitoring Plugins more detectable?

I recently got a 72 hour suspension for exploitative activity. I never got a suspension before until I recently downloaded WatchDog Monitoring Plugin. I used it for about 1 day then I got the suspension.

I do not believe my suspension was because of using this plugin. It probably had to do with the fact that I was grind botting 18 hours a day. But I'm curious if using Monitoring Plugins like WatchDog or BuddyProwl make you more detectable? I'm not sure how the plugins exactly work, but I wasn't sure if Blizz could some how identify that I was sending a text from my phone to WoW and use that as a basis for a ban or suspension.

also had this thought a week or so ago, but then i thought to myself if the Devs of HB allow these plugins + custom CC then imo they are safe.

I don't think so because they have so many apps for WoW, like AH apps for iPhones etc..
