WoW on Android | Mobile | Tweakers.net Video's

this is the dutch tech site/community i just saw this and thought i aught to share :P.

[check link above]

I don't know if this is already out there, but if there is this one is probrably better, anyway think of the options!!!

For the non tech peeps on the forums:
Your computer is botting WoW, your on the train/waiting for something. Check your bot, repair if crashed/empty bags etc etc etc. The interface does not directly communicate with WoW, but goes to your computer first and emulates you being there (remote desktop with less lag in screen updates).

proving yet again android with its open API and marketplace is better then Ilol

yet i've been doing this on my "ilol" for a year now. it only proves that the android can do it as well. nothing more.

How do you do it on the iPhone? I've never seen anything like this for the iPhone previously.

He probably uses logmein or teamviewer (horrible way of doing it)

looks to be exactly the same way he's doing it on the android. nothing more than a remote desktop. which is exactly what teamviewer/vnc/rdc/etc is.

whatever phone you're doing it on. how "horrible" it is really depends on the speed of your internet connections (to and from the remote location). mine works just fine on my iphone, i can start stop, move around check my ingame mail, work the AH, take over in fights, etc. as i said, nothing special doing it on the android. and yes i primarily do it with teamviewer, but there are several others that do the same thing. their "custom" interface to control wow, is the only thing that's special. of course mine doesn't need one. i just use click to move and click on my normal UI, etc. flying navigation is the worst with mine, so their solution does have that advantage. that's the best part of their custom interface.

i'd be suspect of that video being "remote" as in across the internet. looks like across a LAN connection to me. i can do those things via the internet, but when doing it across the lan it's insane how well it works/fast smooth it is. and of course my solution is free. i bet their solution will not be. and mine's been available for a long time. this has been done for like 3 years on the iphone tbh. there was a solution almost identical to this from a company called vollee back in 2009, but they just sort of disappeared after going into a partnership with blizz, so they may infact still be working on something but in secret/behind the scenes sort of way. if you can find the video of it, you can see the similarity. (found it: http://massively.joystiq.com/2009/04/25/world-of-warcraft-vollee-client-for-iphone-video-wt/ )

i'm no fan boy either way. the android is a sweet phone no doubt. as is the iphone.

So yeah, they're demoing a technology to the world and lying to people about being on 3G and not LAN. Makes perfect sense to me...
