So rested xp does affect it.

Currently getting 350,000 xp per hour after 30 minutes of botting. Just finished off my rested xp, so it may be considerably lower than that.

Edit: 170,000 xp per hour with normal xp at level 75 in Borean Tundra.

Is that just gathering, or including grinding?
 
Yeah.. It may not be as good as grinding/questing, but getting exp by leveling our tradeskills while we wait for a new version of HB is pretty epic IMO..
 
I think it is as good as leveling and questing, also u do not have that many bugs and get stuck.
 
I haven't had my bot on since my last post, but just started it up and noticed I am getting different experience now.

I'm not at normal XP yet, but you can just take the above numbers at 50%.

The only difference is that I am past the halfway point in this level as far as experience goes. So maybe it scales?

I'll update if it changes.
 
im starting to think they nerfed it a bit... 50 experience from golden sansam and felweed at level 63
 
lvl 49, herbed a blue lotus got me 1350 exp... (showed orange in skill)

Showing 100k xp per hour at this level but I dont think that is accurate since I had some problems with the bot earlier. I'll repost in a bit with my refreshed xp/hr
 
140k xp per hour

Have to check if it is better mining in different zones/herbs/ores but that isn't on my priority list.
 
They added in XP for gathering in the latest patch? I should level up my mining and herb on my alt then. D:
 
It could be a really good idea if they now split gatherbuddy into section's where there were path's for lower levels not 80's for example which dont just drop into the middle of a camp of mobs and get raped.

It's faster to use HonorBuddy for levelling gathering professions on a low level alt on a ground mount, especially mining as its able to calculate paths to nodes and veins you won't be able to reach with GatherBuddy. It will also more easily obtain herbs that are spawned on the other side of a tree, rock, or house. I've used the 1-450 Mining Profiles by Bryt to level Herbalism and Mining at the same time on two characters recently. While by name the profiles were clearly designed with mining in mind, there are more than enough herbs encountered in the profile to keep your herbalism level ahead of your mining.
 
Just got Gatherbuddy the other day and i was already excited about all the gold you can make with it but WOW you can level up to now with it basically WOOT! Already got my 65 death knight to 66 from farming in outlands! I believe the xp was as follows-
Level 65
Fel Iron Ore-1.9k xp rested
Felweed 50xp rested
Dreaming glory- 1.5k xp rested
Dreafoil-340xp rested

My custom paths are made like this because I started out with a level 62 and botted him up. I have only made one available for northrend and it is doable with a level 72 character. I have other outlands profiles that I made myself for the same reason. Most paths have no regard for lowbie bots.

Either hope someone has one posted or make one your own. Thats what I had to do.

Technically this would be impossible since you have to be certain levels to pick up the next leveling set of each proffessions
 
Level 72 rested xp (around skill level 240 now) Sungrass = 110xp, Felweed = 50xp, Fel Iron Ore=190xp, Dreamfoil= 160xp
