I have mostly used Honorbuddy for those really painful things that no human wants to do mindlessly repeatedly. Sure the fist time or two that you level a character it is fun, but if you are really wanting to have a level 90 of another class and multiple professions, I would not have had the brain'less power or time to do it for multiple times. So thank you Honorbuddy, I have all 11 classes with all the professions @ 600 and mostly geared in full (yes its a nice account, want it? 
please don't hack me, jokes aside). What keeps me enjoying wow is the constant new content, I mean seriously, what game has such amazing content added in for each new patch and so frequently. Most games get a bug fix in a patch, some wow patch are like buying an expansion. Which is why we are all forking out monthly, so worth it.
My problem; I have only ever once used Gatherbuddy hardcore (well in comparison to some of you botting, extremist, gold farmers; i suppose it would be considered softcore). Basically I ran Gatherbuddy for about 12 hours a day for about 3 days. !!!Yes I did it on my main <---- broke the number 1 rule, YOLO. Reason I did it; I had been botting for like a year with zero issues. I become complacent, thought that I could get away with making some fast gold with farming those lucrative ore / herb profiles of insta-ban-death. Gatherbuddy is a prime-evil temptation, its much like an addict going to the casino, either you win big or lose it all. Boom - Perma-Ban Smacked, no warnings what-so-ever. That day I was like: f#*# this, Blizzard you have just lost me as a client, thank you, you have done me a big favor, now I can stop wasting time and money playing these immature games. The next day I was like: Dear Blizzard, please forgive me for I have sinned and life is miserable without your game ---> 72 hour ban. That 72 hours felt like a life time but I lived, literally and figuratively. This however made me very wary of botting in the future. Day 1: Honorbuddy will never be used again! Day 1, 15min later: F#*# this ---> Honorbuddy back online.
Ok, what the hell have I got started here, this was supposed to be a quick post, now I have told you my life story. Let me get to the point; I don't plan to make real cash off botting, I have a day job that makes me way more than trying to make cash in wow, but I do want some gold to be able to at least buy something useful now and again for instance like Reins of the Grand Expedition Yak <--- time saver, repair and reforge in your backpack. I have been painfully struggling to make any real gold until this beautiful calamity "[Official] Tripwire event on 22-Jul-2014, 02:28 UTC". The only problem I had was that I couldn't post stuff faster than it was selling on the AH, and not selling at minor margins, but like 100-200% profits. I probably made more gold in 2 days than I have made in my couple of years of life wasted on wow. I must however admit, I have just worked out how to REALLY use Trade Skill Master (TSM) properly now, this is what helped me post a ton and fast.
Honorbuddy back online and and competition is impossible again, profit margins back to like 5-10% and thats if you manage to stay the lowest seller for more than a second without 10 thousand AHBuddy bots undercutting you insta. I would say I made the best of a bad situation, just wish it could have lasted longer and I would have almost been able to afford my Grand Expedition Yak. Mind setting me up to receive email notifying of next Tripwire event?
