A large amount of the bot profiles related to grinding that are being used are based in Nagrand. This means everyone using these profiles are receiving bones as a side effect of the grind profiles and then handing them all in for the 7g profit. Is it possible that the large amount of 72 hour suspensions and permabans that are occurring are because blizzard are watching the amount of times this quest is completed by a character?. Obviously this quest being completed 200 times a day by a character surely must trigger some form of alarm bells?

What does everyone think?

i think gms have more important things to worry about. however, if you are farming long enough to gather 4000 bones, you may want to look at your botting habits.

Well im talking about automatic triggers just like the auction house. People say if you have a certain amount of auctions then you set off alarm bells i think this quest does the same thing. Im not stupid enough to do that but iv seen so many bots on my server all boting nagrand all spamming that quest. Theres even a bot profile for handing in that quest. I think people need to be aware of this and be careful.

Its all about commonsense people. What are human limits? What is fair expectations? Kill 50,000 npcs in 2 days and hummmm chances are you are botting.....turn in 5,000 bones after one to two days and hummmm maybe you are botting....Bliz would be looking for extremes. Suspensions to me are much like in the NFL where they say the call stands without sayingf confirmed. Its like they say WE STRONGLY BELIEVE you are botting. Whereas a permaban is saying WE KNOW you are botting.

I turned in 39 stacks 2 weeks ago :D leather was extremely worthwhile to sell at the time.

Basically I wanted to make people aware of this for those to stupid to think of it themselves.

i think auction house bans are because of jealous competition reporting you. ive posted thousands of auctions every couple hours when dabbling in glyphs, all with tsm. mebbe im wrong, mebbe not. we can only guess.

I believe with AH you would have to see who's getting the bans and what they are doing/selling. If you are buying and selling stuff on the AH then you are in fact not doing anything wrong but when things get suspect is when you are selling tons of stuff you procured outside of the AH. Your glyphs for instance if you are buying low and selling high that just good business sense, even if using a bot which they may not be able to tell per say, but if you were selling tons of hide which you killed and got then maybe you will get flagged. That's my view of it.

I agree that auction banning comes from people reporting. All they have to do is go to WoWuction - WoW Auction House Online Tool and check out the competition on the item and see that one person is selling xxx, xxx, xxx number of stacks above everyone else in an extremely small window of time. If they get enough reports then Blizzard will likely look in to there doings. As for the Meatgut turn in, I have been running it for way too long of periods of time than I should be on an account that I dont care to lose and haven't gotten banned. Which is what everyone should be doing (only botting with accounts you don't care to lose.). However just because I have gotten away with it for this long doesn't mean I won't be banned in the next 5 minutes. But if you are one of those people looking for a warm fuzzy feeling to think because someone else is doing it that you are safe, well I guess I might have given that to you?

meh, ive gotten banned for exploiting the economy, way before i ever started botting. just by fucking the economy so bad, people reported me for it and i lost that account.

i was posting thousands of glyphs, hundreds of gems, enchanting mats every hour. all with tsm. there were a few weeks i held 3 spots simultaneously on the highest seller list on theunderminejournal.com. and if you know the tuj, you gotta admit, thats an accomplishment.

For sure, that's what I mean. Anyone can look at those sites and see who is doing what no matter if you are logged in or not. It's a lot easier to report someone and for Blizzard to give you the boot for making too many waves in their fragile economy... Thats why I try to limit my need to post items.
