Max sessions Authentication failed!

I don't understand why this is happening. Was running a profile when suddenly. Session invalid, login screen popped up. I login and says Max session Authentication failed!

I closed HB and waited some time only to have the same problem.

I restarted PC in hope and the problem persists.

I made a clean install + used my same key and the same problem happened.

A friend borrowed me a key to see if it works for me and yet again....problem persists. The key is a lifetime key so I don't understand.

Register with your checkout email, the email you bought your key with and kill your sessions.

If there are no sessions, then wait for tony.

If the sessions come up without reason, somebody hacked your key or some like this.

A friend of mine purchased the key for me as I was unable to using my bank account therefore I do not have access to the Auth Portal...:/ The key my friend borrowed to me had no active sessions though.

Did you try it the other way round?

giving your friend your key, so he can check if it is working on his machine?

When my friend tried them, both keys said Max sessions....I dont understand why my key no longer works after I've been using it for over a month or 2.

go to Home Page - Buddy Auth Portal or let your friend go there and check if there are sessions, and kill them if there are some.

Could be you are banned and have 0 sessions now.

Where did he buy the keys?

I dont think so, but no one knows, first try to kill your sessions like said before.

btw Session Invalid message appears when you are loosing connection to our servers
add an exception in your firewall about Hb as well

Tony with regards to what you said the firewall allows HB to run, could it be that my key is 'leaked' for others to use? I mean if someone was using the same key I use would that cause it not to work?

What can I do to regain access to the key as my own so I can use it without getting errors?

I highly doubt that the key was "leaked", as you put it; but for figurative sake let's hypothosize how the issue would go about being fixed.

First a little break down:
You're here looking for assistance while receiving Authentication Issues pertaining to "Max Sessions" reached.
When told to go to Buddy Auth to remedy the issue, by killing the pre-existing sessions, the "My Friend" coin came into play.
Wash and repeat the same steps with said "friend" and, surprise surprise, the same, or rather no, result is reached.
The question arises if the key is leaked, and how would one go about re-attaining ownership.

Righto.
Hypothetically speaking, your friend would have to contact staff, via email as forums aren't the area for sensitive information, and provide information of billing regarding to the original purchase. This step takes out the growing assumption that there was no purchase and the situation circumstances, above, are merely orchestrated to acquire a "free" key; and go from there.
