It's a capitalist market ... there is no greater good, people just want to make money. There is no honor amongst gold sellers. If you're willing to sell for $1/k then there is someone else who is willing to sell for $0.8/k, $0.6/k, etc. You can blame it on an influx of botters, less demand, the Chinese farmers or the weather.
The bottom line is you have to adapt to the market and find ways to make more gold to sell at a lower price. There is no sense in complaining about a dying market, the people making money ("retarded botters") don't care about you.
