Theres no real secret and whats the most profitable in a certain situation depends on so many factors.

Here's a universal tip for everyone:

Monitor your servers market.
There are useful websites. With tools, that can be used to analyze your servers market fairly quickly. You don't have to browse through the, very limited, auction house interface to monitor your servers market. Theres also addons to do that for you.
 
Just level tons of characters with different professions and sell stuff.
