Main Account Perma-Banned, but for the wrong reason?

So I went to bed at like 11 pm last night, and woke randomly in the middle of the night. Glanced at the computer monitor and found my character stuck, but constantly moving into the same spot. I didn't get up to move it or anything though, until a few hours after it was still occurring. I got up and moved it so it could resume farming (using GB2.) I wake up a few hours after this and find my account banned. I read the email, and it states I have been banned for use of "hacks" and not for use of a bot. I've been given no warning in my playing career for any offense. I'm on the phone waiting for a rep, but I have no idea what to say.

- Should I admit to botting to get rid of the "hacks" ban, or will this make it worse?
- How can I get out of this?
 
i got this same ban, same situation, i was online, farming, silkweed, never had any bans or actions in 8 years, and i get a Hacks email
 
Yea this sucks.. been in phone queue for a bit now, still don't know what to say to them. I'm kind of just pissed to lose all of my heirlooms.. 15 fucking heirlooms on that account. Not only that, but that just pisses me off.
 
they wont handle this over the phone i tried, had to do tickets, i put one ticket it and got a generic denied response, so im trying one more time. this was my account from release, so i am hoping they will show some love, though the whole "Hacks" thing is odd to me, plus my guildies told me a toon i hadnt played all day logged in before i got banned so its got me wondering..

Yea, I just got denied over the phone and sent in a ticket. I'm so pissed, luckily I have a hockey game soon haha. Hopefully I can get an answer before the game and addons go off the sale haha.

EDIT: Dammit they already are off sale. AAGH
 
I threatened that I would contact my credit card company and file a charge back on all charges from that account and that I would contact the BBB. I asked them for proof that I was using hacks or (as they later mentioned) third party software for automated processes.

Yea I came up with a sob story, and I got the bs automated message. It's such a joke, you can't even voice your opinion on the matter, and no specifics are given on their end. I just wish I could get my heirlooms honestly, i can deal with leveling again and all that hassle but really.. I had 15 damn heirlooms, 5 of which I just bought yesterday. It's a damn shame.. And it's even more of a shame that they don't deal with these issues via phone, you can't get anything but a automated response, and you can't reopen the ticket after that response. Good luck though.
 
You guys kill me. You act all pissed when they ban you for doing stuff you weren't supposed to in the first place.
 
I got banned because the bot screwed up. It was stuck in the same spot for 3+ hours. I don't pay money to get banned.

It is still your fault. Do you even read what you type? You chose to bot. At that point, the risk is 100% on you. You paid money for a program to assist you in botting. It works. Anything past that is on you.

Why are you bashing me? Lol. More pathetic than me complaining about being banned. How about you get banned and then not get angry. And please, wake up in the middle of stage 4 sleep and get up out of it. Learn something about sleep before you make a comment on my statements. I question your ignorance.

I paid money for a program which in turn got be banned. So logically, I paid to get banned. Why're you so ignorant?

A program you are fully aware is in conflict with Blizzards TOS. You didn't bother to supervise your bot and in all likelyhood you used a public profile. It's your own god damn fault. It pisses me off when people take no responsibility for themselves or their actions. Clearly you are the one being ignorant.

Must not know definition of ignorant. What am I not aware of in my situation? I don't understand people who expect others to babysit the bot whenever in use. Developers should come up with anti-ban software for botting. Free RuneScape bots even came with on board anti-ban, but a 35$ bot can't have any anti-ban software whatsoever? You can't disagree with this..

Anti-ban software? How is that going to help you if you get stuck using a public profile or misconfigure your bot? You were even aware of the bot being stuck but chose to ignore it? The nature of these bans is that people observe your bot, they report you, and after a while when a GM looks into it you are banned. The bot itself is undetectable but due to the nature of the game you can still get banned from player reports and/or abusing the economy with the stuff you gather and then sell.

You knew when you started botting that it's against the terms of service, yet you chose to do it knowing full well that you may be banned for breaking the TOS. Wanting to shift the blame to the company selling the bot is, quite frankly, pathetic.
 
Ive gotten several world of warcraft accounts banned the first one hurts the rest dont.. once you become a veteran botter you will laugh when you get banned and just get more accounts LOL..what your feeling is normal. THE GLORY OF BOTTING its like being a drug trafficker the rewards are high but the risk is greater .. I LOVE HB

There are obviously ways to incorporate it into the public profiles. All it would have to do is log out if it's in the same coordinates for more than 60-120 seconds.. I'd rather have the bot sign off and turn off than to be stuck in a spot for hours upon end, creating a bigger ban risk. You can't talk down on an anti-ban idea, why would you not want to prevent your account from being banned? And yes, my blaming of HB is quite pathetic, but it could have been prevented if there was some anti-ban technology put in place in a 35$ program.
