Mage PvP Routine

Personally, my Portal never casts a Frostbolt. I don't know why.
 
I have also tried Portal and it wont cast frostbolt as well and it doesnt work for me PVE either. Any suggestions for portal? Does the free version work for pvp or just premium?
 
thats weird frostbolt isnt working. it does for me. I have changed my config a little bit though. i would suggest sending millz a pm about the issue with your log so he can investigate whats going on with it
 
Any CR in cokx's gladiator suite is going to be your best bet for PvP. He is a multi-rank 1 player and no other developer of CRs knows arena as well as him. Portal may have some good features but it's designed for PvE and supports PvP. Cokx designs his CRs specifically for PvP and it can be used in PvE but not to the same capability as portal.
 
If you want a CR mainly for PvP and can do some dps in PvE, go with Cokx. If u want a PvE based routine that has some features to break into PvP, get portal
 
i use the cokx warrior suite and its just insane in arena, the dps output is so high and the defense capabilities are so good. but as a melee you just stick on someone, how does a caster profile work like mage? Do you just run around and then when you are standing still does it start casting spells? or will it do stuff like nova and ice lance and blink etc?
 
If portal is bursting it won't frostbolt(depends), if you're moving it won't frostbolt, if you get crit procs it won't frostbolt. My version frostbolts just fine though. It's just very conditional.

Where does one get the cokx routine?

I currently arena with Portal premium, and it seems to leave somethings desired, would love to try something 100% PvP based.

No staff (as far as I am aware) will support the use of Honorbuddy in Arenas.
 
Thanks for the PM and link, I will give this a try as I recently started doing Arena's with the mage again. Portal isn't bad, but since everyone is saying cokx is so much better for PvP, gotta try it. ~$20USD isn't bad.
