[PAID] [Mage] Portal - An Advanced Honorbuddy Mage Routine [PvE/PvP]

Heya millz
Been testing that pause on mouse keys and it works pretty decent. Can I ask if it's set for any mouse key or just the right key as i seem to be getting some weird pauses during mouse look.
Also for some reason on test dummys i can run it pauses allowing me to blink works great but for some reason in actual raid conditions it's still the same any idea's?
Have you tested this in a raid yourself?

It's ignoring both left and right mouse buttons.

Raids -> it's because in a raid it's having to do a lot more stuff than it does when fighting dummies, so each loop of the routine is slightly longer. If you mash the button very quick, the routine might not detect it in time. Press and hold the key for slightly longer than you normally would?

I use all of my routines in both raids and PvP.

Mostly battlegrounds for testing stuff. Less focus on what I'm doing etc.

Mage's need a reasonable amount of manual control to work well - i.e. blink, frost nova, polymorph etc. No clicking bladestorm and killing everyone with no required skill

Hmm. I explicitly blacklisted the left and right mouse buttons. Shouldn't make any difference if both are pressed together.

Remember, you cant use the manual cast with modifiers. If you want to blink, you need to have it on a non-modified key.. 1, 2, 3.. not alt+1, ctrl+2, or shift+3. Other than that, it should be working fine.

Even with the premium versions movement turned off the bot just stays in one place doing its rotation, not moving at all during combat. After the combat is over the bot starts following again. I know Lazyboxer doesn't like combat routines that have movements in it, so turning off Portals movement should in theory work, but it does not.

There's the log with the free version which works just fine and the non-working premium version. While trying to figure out what could be the problem i noticed that disabling HB's framelock and portals two different framelocks i got some kind of movement out of the bot. But it takes very long to get the bot moving, like 5-10 seconds after i have moved to a safe spot. During that time the bot gets hit but ground aoe.

I use lazyboxer, isnt it designed to assist the leader when combat is started? Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but it sounds like its working to me. If you dont want combat there should be settings you could change in Lazyboxer. Under targeting change it to manual targeting then turn off targeting under Portal maybe. Also make sure force combat start is never.


If you are talking about the bot taking a minute to get back to following you after combat. It does that to me too when using custom routines. I would use singular. I believe some of fpswares' behaviors conflict with custom routines that handle movement and combat initilization.

I assume it's because the botbase wont move if you're busy casting, but the way the casting work differs between the 2 versions. The premium versions queues spells up and casts super fast, so the wow client/HB never see's a break in the cast. Enabling anti-lag #1 will help, but that's an issue of the bot base, not the routine.

It looks like i got it working, at least with playing around target dummies. Disabled Portals movement, targetings and facing and anti-lag systems. Set up Lazyboxer do all targeting and movement with 30fps framelock. Also made HB to use 30fps framelock. It keeps following me and the response time is pretty good. Gonna see how it works in "real life".

Hello. When I activate movement, it would be great if the CC would try to move away from melee classes. Blink, nova and everything works great.
But it looks a bit strange if a warrior or rogue is hitting me, I nova him and then just keep standing at the same position where he still can hit me.

Any progress on this one Millz?

so one more thing to have you take a look at millz is this. and unfortunately logs wont really help with explaining and it may be a tad hard for you to test as well.. but here it is... when you have 3 or more targets stacked together portal changes the Arc rotation so that it doesnt complete. what it does is AB>AB>ABarr>AB>AB>ABarr. and repeats this until there are less than 3 targets stacked together. sometimes it will throw in a third AB, but im not seeing any consistent pattern with when it does that. basically my point is that Portal shouldn't care how many targets there are it should follow the same rotation regardless. if you could take a look at that for me when you get a min it would be greatly appreciated.

You can easily turn it off in the settings, think it's under the class abilities tab.

Hey - As the PM - I've looked into it before, and it's still on my list of things to implement, but kiting good with a bot isn't easy. It's easy enough to say turn around and run back x yards, but it's taking into account walls, game objects and LoS etc. It would look even worse if you started fighting a warrior and you turn around and start running into a building instead of fighting back.

I got that from here; Arcane Mage DPS Rotation, Cooldowns, and Abilities (WoW MoP 5.4) - Icy Veins

Against 3 targets tanked together, keep

Living Bomb up on all targets and use your single-target rotation on one of them with the following tweak: cast

Arcane Barrage at 2

Arcane Charges.

Against 4 targets tanked together, keep

Nether Tempest up on all targets and use your single-target rotation on one of them with the following tweak: cast

Arcane Barrage at 3

Arcane Charges.

As IceMannn says, disable the setting in the class abilities tab. If you're still having issues after disabling that setting, please post a log file.
