[PAID] [Mage] Portal - An Advanced Honorbuddy Mage Routine [PvE/PvP]

hey I use your premium rotation and when I go into a bg with tyreal he casts nothing i dont know why i have updatet today the rota sry for my bad bad english

hey millz!

i am using ur premium version of portal with tyrael.

i have problems with "rune of power" - cause in current Siege of Orgrimmar Raid, there are a lot of movement fights. and if i activate "cast rune of power" in portal-settings, it casts always rune of power before casting spellcasts. in movement fights, i am often runnin back to my place where i stand before (for example malkarok). and so my dps decreases..

are u able to implent a special key which we could press to cast the rune of power manually`? cause there is no macro to cast it automatically at the actual position of the char (we have to select it with mouse where to cast down, but this interrupts all time when there are other casts spelling).

that would be soo great, cause all 3 specs (Arcan, Frost, Fire) uses the rune of power talent actually.

Hmm I could yeah, but why would you not use Invocation in heavy movement fights?
 
hej millz,
another question: are u able to implent a feature to dot all units in range (for example living bomb) and after that switch to focus target and start rotation? and when dots runs out and "dotted unit" still alive start over again?
and then i would like to know which spec do u actually prefer with T16 2-set bonus.

Enabling AoE will do the multi-dotting. Toggle it with hotkeys to turn it on and off.

T16 -> arcane/frost are the top specs at the moment.

Hey - I've not seen this error before, I'll have to try and replicate it using your settings when I get home tonight.

You say it happens 'sometimes' - how often is sometimes - like every 2 or 3 toggles, maybe after 100 toggles etc ?

Going off the error message it looks like it's failing to write the message into the chat window in game, then that breaks honorbuddy completely.
 
Just got your premium version .. one word : fantastabulous ! :D

Question : could it be that the CC never buffs Arcane Brilliance when the mage has Dalaran Brilliance as well?

Arcane Brilliane has been activated in the settings, but no buff ..
And there is no "Dalaran Brilliance" in the settings.

Just to clarify when using portal it works great just am unable to depend so much on the hotkey single/aoe settings, and when it does crash with the hb error box the bot still works i can finish a boss fight it just gets stuck in the mode its in single or aoe mode and i am unable to switch back to one or the other i am also unable to disable the bot with alt+x, will post the newest log and my exact settings. I'll take a look - out of interest though, why are you toggling AoE on and off so much? I never toggle it in PvE - I just leave it permanently on. The hotkeys work different to PureRotation. Portal's work by turning on will switch to AoE when there's enough mobs to cast on (or multi dot on). If the mobs aren't there it'll default back to single target.
 
Hey Millz, i know you answered this before about Inferno Blast only beeing used under the Heating up buff but wouldn't it be better to use when it's off cd to get those juicy pyro procs =D?

The toggling aoe on and off was just to get the error msg to pop up from hb so that i would be able to upload the log file, usually in a raid i switch it to single target when on a boss and when killing adds i will switch it to aoe, didn't know that it will auto detect though, on the boss Primordius in normal mode the best strategy is to burn that boss down only using single target no aoe at all so at that point i would have to switch from aoe to single target mode, another boss that makes the single/aoe hotkey very useful is General Nazgrim, when he goes into defensive stance you are not suppose to attack him or dot him up in any way so i switch to single and kill the adds that come out, i was grilled by my raid leader for dotting him up with living bomb lol, when what actually happened was i switched to single target to kill the adds that come out and the bot crashed and i left it going, otherwise i would have to close out of hb go to the buddyauth website kill the session load hb back up then portal and click start, more then likely i would be dead before that could happen, so i left it stuck in aoe mode, but i definitely don't spam it back and forth usually i just switch to kill adds then back to single target its really situational, good to know though that i can leave it on and just disable when single target is required, that 70.3 KB log file i posted i had only switched it 2 times before it crashed which in that case it would definitely be an issue for the General Nazgrim fight unless you stay at the opposite end of the room and not attempt to dps the banner when it pops up next to him while he is in defensive stance. For the most part its not a huge issue i can deal with it but would be nice to have that crash resolved for those kind of boss fights it really helps, but there is a strong possibility that the problem is on my end, thanks again :)

I sat for about 15 minutes spam toggling the AoE on and off, and couldn't get this to replicate. I'm not really sure what to suggest either though. Could give it a go on the beta version of honorbuddy and see if that's working any better ?

Don't want to blow the CD and waste a heating up proc. Need to save it for heating up to guarantee the upgrade to pyroblast.
 
Btw, how hard/complicated would it be to auto detect talents so you don't have to disable/enable when you switch or respec etc? Dont have any fps issues but it just feels better to know that the routine doesn't have to try and cast stuff i dont have (if that's the case) =P.

It's coded in, you don't need to disable them. You do need to restart the bot upon changing spec - but you can change talents on the fly. Can enable settings for all talents without issues.
