[PAID] [Mage] Portal - An Advanced Honorbuddy Mage Routine [PvE/PvP]

also anyone figure out the freezing part? I have to cast the first spell in order for the rotation to kick in and then it'll freeze on target changes.

Dahm withdrawal is real :D Being banned sucks.

Having disabled EVERYTHING you do not need in your rotation is key, as stated by Millz somewhere in the options for the routine.

For raiding rotation I do not use any extra plugins, except overlay bot controls. I have disabled all the talent abilities I don't have, hence pet freeze is off. I do have "Force pet auto attack" on and Water jet on. I have pet's water jet autocast off and water bolt autocast on in WoW. I don't use Frost Nova talent on boss fights, since it has proven not to be of much use with too few targets and to mess up the rotation I got going with 4 tier and class trinket bonuses. The less crap you have to cast the better :D hence I got Unstable Magic, Thermal Void and Incanter's Flow talents. The less abilities routine checks for cooldowns on each tick, the smoother it will perform. As far as i recall all the stuff from "Class abilities", such as "blink when stunned" is disabled.

Movement is disabled in routine settings.

Also I play on hexa-core processor, with 2 cores assigned to HB and the rest for WoW, process priority for both is set to High. I use Enyo with hardlock and 20 TPS. I usually get above 30 fps in 20 man raid.

currently level 706, doing between 35-45 on single targets, but don't have the t18 gear set bonus yet, will report back when i get it.
 
How does this routine perform with Arcane DPS when you compare it to top players of similar ilevel on warcraft logs?
 
Is fire viable? if so how does Millz perform with fire? Or is arcane the way to go?
 
Haven't tested it with arcane all that much, 'cause I don't know and like arcane :D
Fire is BS :D
Frost has the most viable rotation from automation perspective, 'cause arcane relies heavily on proper timing of burn phase activation.
about 40 without tier @706 (I suppose weapon in not higher than 700) is quite ok, depending on trinkets. The major gamechanger for me was the class trinket.

Should be comparable - but ilvl doesn't mean an awful lot. Having class trinket / tier bonus is the important bit.

Arcane / Frost is the way to go at the moment. Fire got better as of the last major patch when the combustion/ignite tricks got removed, but still the weaker/less used spec.

Update:Currently doing about 55-60k on normal HFC and 50-56 on heroic HFC with 2 T18 pieces and no good trinkets and a 700 ilvl staff upgraded to 710. Will update when more gear is acquired. Remember mages are the most gear depended class or at least one of the most.

Interesting numbers, appreciate the update.

Yeah, mages are heavily gear dependant, it's pretty bad how they compare to an equally geared toon of another class (i.e. a freshly leveled 100 shadow priest vs 100 frost mage - the SP will do nearly double the dps).

For some reason it's not detecting the food already being in your bags, so it's casting the spell to create some food.

Would you mind casting conjure refresment (individual food, not table), then open 'Developer Tools' -> 'Objects' -> 'Bag Items' then give me the ID for the food item thats in your bags please?

Update: So I turned off conjure refreshment with questing bot for the dailies. Fire rotation used with pve, pvp and questing quick loaded profiles and still no rotation just stands there casting ring of frost and dragons breath. I switched the bot over to enyo used scorch and it started to work. Trying to upload a log but it keeps giving me an error on 2 different logs. Is there another way to get it to you Millz? Pastebin by chance?

Thanks. I've found the bug with Conjure Refreshment (it wasn't the ID after all of that - sorry!). It'll be fixed in the next build.

Sure, upload a log to pastebin and I'll have a look.

It's worth noting, a restart of your PC may fix the issue. Start the computer up -> then restart (not shutdown / startup) - must be the actual restart option.
 
So tried the restarting option and still didnt work... Pastebin is giving me issues and crashing the page and forums isnt letting me upload it so I pm'd you the dropbox link to both of them.

you can try putting on continue combat on enyo, that way when you select a target the bot will assume you are in combat.

I think it may be the 'Force Combat' setting within Portal that's causing it. Not certain though.

Hey

I've not looked into getting language localization working (so that it can translate). I'm not entirely convinced that it's possible with the GUI style pack that I'm using.

I wouldn't want to make any promises that translating the GUI will be back again :(
