[PAID] [Mage] Portal - An Advanced Honorbuddy Mage Routine [PvE/PvP]

Keep in mind, sometimes it sits on a IL proc till its needed to fire, lines up with a CD, pooling for PC, etc.. and outside of that its handy to have one there for when you need to move, if he wants to add a "dont wait more" thats cool, but make it an option cuz having the ability to move and not loose dps while doing it is needed at higher content levels.

I was losing alot of dps exactly because of moving 16k DPS with a 651 Frost mage


EDIT: Another thing I noticed is that sometimes when I have procs and I'm running it doesn't use the proc, it casts ice floes and casts frostbolt or it does nothing at all

Millz I bought this profile last night. I'm unable to get my mage to cast any abilities, regardless of the settings I apply or the bot base I use. All it attempts to do is run up to the target and auto attack. Any idea whats going on here?

It does use them instantly when not talented for Frost Bomb. If you have FB talent, then it needs to hold them for refreshing FB.

I'd need a log file to see whats happening to cause it to get lower on mana. If above 93% mana then it should always cast (so it would drop below for that specific cast, but once the mana has dropped it shouldn't cast another - I'd need the log to see this though).

The stop casting only triggers when you're targeting Pol. It won't trigger if Phemos is your target.
 
Hi, you need to use supernova with 4 charges more or with 2 target´s like the twins on cd with 4 charges. Ty
 
Does Arcane follow this logic?
WoD Mage Compendium - Page 50

I have found his guides to always be better than simcraft which isn't real world.

For example - does Portal hold on to AM procs below 70% mana during burn phase unless a third charge is received? Burning to 50% using AB ?

Also - Time to Death check on boss so that you end fight close to zero mana would be a DPS increase. IE: AB until the boss is dead using time to death check logic.

Check the config there are options to use supernova exactly the way you want for both of the options you want, just have to look as its already in there.

Hey - Yeah I've used those guides (and cross reference with simulationcraft) for tuning. Agree they're better for real world.

It does hold AM procs, and it has the TTD check :)
 
Hey Millz, I cant get frost to work. the pet will attack now but my character just stands there. I tried casting frostbolt myself to start it but that didnt work either, thanks

You need to reload HB after changing spec. You've loaded the routine as Arcane then changed to Frost :)
 
Millz - is there a way to make sure that SN goes off on the PC when IF stacks are at max? I tried with all kinds of toggles on the SN settings and it is always launching one SN at 4 stacks before I can drop my PC because I don't have my 4 ab stacks yet. Hope this makes sense.

Sure, so if talented for Incanter's Flow, and 'On Prismatic Crystal' is selected, then wait for >4 stacks before casting them. Will add it in.
