***Notice of Account Closure***

Account Name: -------------

Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy

This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

Even if this behavior is the result of a third party accessing the account instead of the registered user (for example, a friend, family member, or leveling service) then the account can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behavior is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/faq/antigoldselling.html

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at Blizzard Entertainment: Blizzard Legal Documentation. Any recurring subscriptions on this account have been suspended to prevent further monetary charges.

For any disputes of this action or further information on Exploitive Activity, please visit the Exploitative Activity FAQ and contact page here:

I got this email and was slightly confused.... I had not sold gold on this account for agessss. Of course "abuse of the economy" covers botting. None the less I thought that I must've been really unlucky as I hardly botted on this account... Prior to this I had a suspension account for exploiting pre-cataclysm fishing. Then a perma ban (appealed on grounds of hacking) - account unlocked and final warning + 72hour ban before I can access it. So when this perma ban email comes through I think I'm pretty much screwed... I write a appeal, thinking it'll do nothing -

"WHY THE FUCK HAVE I BEEN BANNED?
Exploitative activity ??? That is the biggest load of horse shit I've heard.

For the past god knows how many days I've been leveling enchanting and trying to level a guild i'm involved in. So, whilst in the middle of fishing is Stormwind I get disconnected and get this bollocks email?!?!?! "

Greetings,

We have now concluded our investigation, and your account has been unlocked.

We have also placed a warning on your account, and issued you a 72 hour (3 day) suspension as well as a final warning. This means that if your account is found in violation of our poicies once more, this will most likely result in a permanent closure of your account.

After the suspension has been served, you will be able to access the World of Warcraft servers once again.

Battle.net Account Name: -----------------------
World of Warcraft Account Name: -----------------
Date of Violation: -----------------------
Type of Violation: Exploitation
Details of Incident: Use of third party program
Consequences for Account: Account suspended for 72 hours (3 days)

While we regret to take this type of action, we have determined it to be in the best interests of the World of Warcraft community as a whole, and for the integrity of the game.

Also note, you must log into the game after the suspension expired; this will update the status of your account displayed on the Account Management page.

Should you have other questions or concerns, feel free to contact us again, via our webform: https://eu.blizzard.com/support/webform.xml

I recommend blanking out the Game Master's name. But good job on getting it unbanned. :D

LOL I wonder how many people are going to be copying that letter? very nicely done, grats.
