Howdy, with the upcoming good times, i am planning on going big. I am thinking of investing $25k+ and putting together 150 bots in my garage. with that many bots running i believe the best way to do it is to compartmentalize them by haveing 30 per ip address. I was planning on having the different providers come and hook up there service in the garage, but just had an interesting idea. when i go out of town for work, i run my company laptop off the lte hotspot on my tablet. has anyone tried something like that for running their bots and if so, how many computers/bots can it handle. this would be a much cheeper and easier option than going thru shaw/rogers/bell ect. the data plans on tablets are cheep if you own the tablet outright. i can buy and unluck them for under $300 each.

Also, with my planning on item farming and not gold farming, what is the best way to set up the computers. i was planning on building them to handle 6 instances a peice.

at the moment i am running 8 instances accross 1 desktop and 2 tablets.

any thoughts would be appreciated

Own a tablet, as opposed to.... renting one?

A standalone device like a Verizon Mifi would be better than having to tether a tablet, but alas. Aside from starting a little late, you will need a pretty decent internet connection at your house, 2MB/s+

GL having 150 bots doing itemfarming, and having time for regular job. Unless u plan to put Your parent/wife/sibling/kid to work in bot farm. Also, im not sure if its wise to have that many bots on single ip, it pretty much begs for manual check of blizz ban department.

Yeah even with super tight loot rules like Gniller you are looking at a lot of time just maintaining the farm and transferring items. Unless part of your $25k investment is to hire some cheap workers to to help you out.

thanks for the thoughts so far guys.

my main question was reguarding tablet hotspots. i was planning on running 30(ish) per tablet as i can get and run them cheeper than using the conventional providers. the main thinking around the tablets is that if part of my farm was ip banned it will be really easy to get a fresh ip address with no cost/hassle.

just ordered a monster computer that should be ready on friday so i will test this system out this weekend. it should be able to handle 15+ easily

reguarding time cleaning and posting.. i run a small company that really only works 4 1/2 mnths a year, the rest of the time i spend gaming and fishing :)
using the tablet system i can even bring a couple computers with me out of town and continue botting :)

Its your call dude, but personally if i got buisness profitable enough so i would only have to work quarter of each year, and then got 25 grands to throw into risky endeavor which is botting, i would rather enjoy life than waste couple hours daily sorting loot in garage.
