Looking for some help on a PC build/botting computer! $800 Budget!

u like your hat with salt'n'pepper? :)

For all you fellas out there running on intel HD 4000, how many bots do you run and what are your average framerates? Do you just shoot for bottable framerates or do you have actually hand-playable framerates? I'm curious because I've always used rather high-end discrete cards. I've always heard WoW is typically only a CPU-bound game but I've never really seen it firsthand.

I run 6 bots with i5 2500K @ 4.6ghz, 16GB of RAM, 7970

The CPU is maxed out according to task manager, so go with an i7 OP for that hyperthreading

This takes up 10GB of RAM, so go with over 16GB (doesn't matter speed as long as DDR3)

my GPU is virtually untouched so I bet if you bought a haswell i7 you probably wouldn't even need a GPU

If anyone is interested in brainstorming on this project with me I could use the help! Just PM me I want to make it as solid as possible so when I document the experience I can tell people what worked for me and didn't.

If your ''project'' is to run 50 or 100 bots goodluck but it's nothing special.

wtf?

I run 10 bots @ 29-33% CPU, wtf are you doing with all that power? Same CPU for sure.

Perhaps different forum users have setup their wow instances different from each other?

Is there things that need to be done to a wow instance other than the size of the window to reduce consumption power?

I guess it might not be special to some, but my goal is around 50-200 bots running at all times. This is kind of a pilot to see if its worth looking into seriously.

In that case I recommend you think more about virtualization capacity.

50 bots is special to at least 99% of forum users on here.

How much gold do you expect to make off one bot gathering per month and how long will you run each bot for?

Gotcha thank you for the suggestion I will look into it!

Im not quite sure on gold per month I am obviously going to do more research before I invest this kind of time and money. In terms of scheduling I have an idea of 12-16 hours per bot per day and make sure I have 24/7 uptime. Meaning I will have 2 sets of bots running switching off basically. Thats what I had the most success with in the past at least.

I'll give you a tip don't start with it.

Secondly if you do then most likely 50 bots will be hard enough to run 200 is impossible really I don't know how much you know but bots aren't completely afk and require alot of work.

How long do you estimate those accounts will be live and not banned?

I have 2 people I am going to be working with so it isn't going to be alone. I am fairly experienced with bots so I don't think the setup will be an issue I just want to make sure I have some solid rigs that can handle the volume I want to do.

In terms of an estimate on how long they will be live I don't really know either. My idea is to do a pilot with around 20 accounts see what the ROI is and then progress from there if it makes sense. I was running 10 at one point and I had a fairly good ROI and didn't have a ban wave for awhile but I know they can be pretty sporadic.

Trying capping each instance to 30FPS that might save some power

- i can just tell you for sure: i was running 55 accs + some lvling orders from others and i had some space for more bots

you are my hero. you must really good in logistics.. wtf 55 accounts...

50 is hard? not really ^^

This must be hard a see when all bots will be banned ...
