looking for Dranai Holy Paladin Profile

Hi.
I recently used a Holy Paladin profile by KaZ 1-15, worked a charm. I've now downloaded a couple of others that havn't worked.

Can somebody point me in the right direction of a good profile.

Profile's and custom classes are two different things.
A Profile is an XML file that shows your character where to go and what to kill/do.
A CC(CustomClass) is a .cs file that does combat for your character (i.e uses spells.)

So downloading and putting the files into my mesh folder and setting up HB is not the complete way to do it. I have to get a CC aswell.

I don't fully understand your reply.

It doesnt exactly tell me where to get a working profile!

Edit: I have been using Convalerce Basic 4.0 by Mord. i have read the for forums and watched a video on how to load a profile for questing, still no joy. What do i need to do now? i have Botted BG s, archaeology etc i just cant quest. i could do with some help on this one.

lets clear it a bit

CC=custom classes

with short words,custom classes are some files that will "order" Hb in what way it will use the spells/abilities of your char etc
on Hb zip pack there are some default CC's but you can find some advanced,for every class, CC's here

Classes

profiles are those files that will "tell" to your char what type of mobs will kill,where the repair vendors is etc
so you have to pick the one that you want and just load it on Hb by hitting the big"Load Profile" button

you dont have to worry about meshes cause Hb will download meshes on demand from our servers

I can read your forums and fully understand what both of you have said. During the past couple of weeks i have read and read some more forum pages, Infact more than i have used the product. With no joy. I didnt just try once and then send in a post complaining.

I mentioned the meshes beacuase in the guides section there is a video with how to start questing under 10 mins, which tells you to make a mesh folder of your own. Also in the wiki pages to make copy folder so as not to cause problems when updates come out.

If the video is no longer extant, move it to archives!

I was informed by a mate that if i joined HB that i would not get customer support, I'm beginning to see why he didn't renew. Thank god i didn't take out a lifetime membership!

There are many people using the product who are having problems, so im not in a league of my own. This is not my forte!

You should be more considerate to how you reply and treat a future paying customer.

Exactly what Hawker said. You are way to sensitive. Even I could understand what he meant by what he said. It wasn't meant as a rude gesture but your frustration is being directed at the wrong people, sir. People here are more then willing to take the time to show you exactly how to set this application up, which isn't difficult at all. He was merely explaining what each meant because of the way you responding it sounded like you weren't a bit confused.

This is a wonderful application and brilliant piece of work. I commend each and everyone who is a developer and those that take the time to develop the profiles, cc's and other addition features that have come to bring this community to the top.

I'm sorry you're not able to understand exactly what it is you're doing but it seems like you're not reading to far into the posts that contain the profiles themselves.


Let me try to help you. Download a Custom Class from the appropriate thread. In your case it would be a paladin Custom Class that would support the "Holy" spec. If you're unaware of how to install it, let me explain to you in short. you simply download the appropriate zip and extract it into the Custom Classes folder that HB has. Once you hit the Start button on your first tab, you should be able to select which Custom Class you want if there are multiple ones inside the folder that correspond to the Class you're using.

Before you go ahead and hit the Start button you want to find a questing profile that you're comfortable with using. Some of these require that you begin in a defined starting point and/or zone. You need to read the entire post of the profile to see what it requires and so on. Once you follow the appropriate steps and you avhe found one suiting your needs, please download it and place it in the appropriate folder. You can specify any folder you wish or just place it inside the Default Profiles that is has already once you extract HB itself. Before you press Start you need to go to the Drop Down menu which is a box of some sort that has several options. I'm sure you know about this because you said that you've used ArcheologyBuddy before. Select questing and press start. It's as simple as that.

Also... are you Horde or Alliance? If you're Alliance KickAzz (the profile writer of some incredible profiles) has *kidding* to much love for alliance so there are an arsenal of profiles for them. What level are you at the moment also? THen maybe someone can help you.

I would have to disagree with you, i think his English is good enough to understand exactly what was being said.

In the job i do, i teach subjects and try pitching the subject to them at the right level so that everybody is learning.
As i said this is not my forte, however something is not going right. I would just like some guidance without being looked upon as a mug!

I have managed to do archy, level to 15 on new pally and run a few BG. What i can't get it to do is pick up nodes. I want to be able to farm minerals, herbs etc. just doesnt work. Any help/guidance?

I have followed all your instructions previously, i dont think im that bad at reading and understanding what's required. After all i have had success ....once. I will go through it again and see how it goes.

Maybe it is my frustration with it not going right. In my initial thread, i asked if somebody knew of a holy pally profile that i could quest and get levelled up, one that would work.

Anyway i will leave it for a while, have a brew and chill and try again without the frustration!

you dont need profiles that are made for specific talent trees,those profiles does not exist
there are not Beastmaster profiles or Retribution profiles as an example

depends on your CC in what way Hb will use the spells,so you can run a profile either as a Retri pala or as Holy pala

for questing profiles now
there are some profiles that are made for specific races,ex Draenei
these profiles may contain quests that are available only for Draenei
you will mostly find these profiles for 1-10or15 level range(starting areas),so for higher lvls you dont need race specific profiles.

for grinding profiles now
you can use them on every race
as an example you can use a grinding profile made for Humans if you move your char to their starting area

If only this thread had the first and last posts only! The above post has now cleared everything up.

I didnt know that i could use any race profile and that i just went to their starting area and it would work for my toon. Hence the reason i specifically asked for a draenei profile for questing.

I can now use one of kickazz 1-60 profiles human, i will update you with the results after the footy match.

Please do remember though that Kick's profiles are very specific to Humans. You'll most likely need to level your Draenei to 5 or so before starting his profile.
Instructions are, however, in his threads so if you follow those, kick will get you to 85

if he is talking about the grinding 1-60 he wont have problems
but if he is talking about the questing one,yes he need to start it in a higher lvl

They're right, you're a bit too sensitive.

Having said that,

CC=custom class, this is what basically plays your toon for you, it tells it what spells/abilities to use-and when.

A profile can either be grinding (killing mobs over and over again) or questing.

So, if you are looking for a CC for a holy paladin to heal instances with, I would suggest you check out FPSWare Paladin in the Custom Class section. If you are looking for a profile to level with, whether it be grinding or questing, I would first suggest that you re-evaluate your choice of a holy paladiin. Holy is just not the way to go for leveling unless you plan on doing nothing but running instances/battlegrounds.
