Looking for advice on gearing my barb for act 3.

Before anyone says it, I've been reading the pages in the thread http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonb...-3/67290-barb-stats-required-run-act-3-a.html, but I'm really looking for someone to personally take a look at my barb and tell me what I should upgrade to be able to decently farm act 3. I have about 10 mil gold and $50 to spend. Been farming act 2 with no problems at all so I don't think I need *that* much. I would sincerely appreciate anyone who could give me some critique.

I'm sure this has been asked millions of times so I apologize for the redundancy. Thanks in advance.

The problem upgrading from act to act is that you're going to need a whole new set of gear. Luckily you can sell the old gear for hopefully as much as you bought it for. Sadly this takes a bit of time and therefore you don't have the gold to use right away.

On my barb which usually has 0 deaths per hour(unless very unlucky) I have these stats buffed:

Str: 1650
Vit: 1300
All res(impunity): 1300
LoH: 1650
Armor(with war cry): 11500
Damage(with Battle Rage Marauder's Rage): 35000
Life: 60k

Man, I just got back into botting this game, and I gotta say.... I spent about 200k on gear that is enough to farm A2 champs with 1-2 deaths/hour, but if I try A3 farming, I jump to 20 deaths/hour, which is pretty much kill 1-2 champs before I die. So there's quite a step up between acts.

On a side note, shit, decent gear is cheap nowadays...

Would you say it would be worth it to spend about $50 on gear to bot act 3 (and if $50 would be enough)? My main concern would be being able to make the money back. Currently level 17 paragon, the past couple of days I've been botting act 2 24/7 and haven't really found anything worth that much.

The price of barb gear is rising every day. Helms of Command, Stormshield and Justice Lantern are all pretty core to running a tank barb through Act 3. The prices for these items is insanely inflated and quite frankly, you're better off waiting for barb nerfs if you want the gear to be reasonable. Being able to bot act 3 on a barb for under 10 mil gold is an opportunity long gone, the same 10 mil of gear 1 month ago is probably worth 40-50 mil now. I'm waiting to see what the 1.05 patch notes say, but I'm hoping Witch Doctor and Monks will be viable Act 3 Inferno alternatives.

This guy has been farming for 47 days 24/7 champion farm. I personally have made back my money on my 1st barbarian. I started on my 2nd two days ago and i've made 27 mil so far and still have auctions up for at least another 15 mil. The total cost of that barbarian was 50 mil sooo : )

Would it be viable to pick up a good Skorn for act 3 or should I stick to sword & board?

Sword/board to start out; shield gives you a huge amount of survivability. Eventually you can move on to 2H or dual wield if you want when you have better defensive stats in other slots.
