Longest it's taken Blizzard to ban you after botting?

i know exactly the answer he is looking for.

yes, blizzard has 'waited' to ban people in the past. dangerous times include before a patch/content release and every tuesday/maintenance.

if you've botted and you are worried. chill till tuesday. then chill for a couple weeks, just in case they pull a monthly cycle like theyve been known to do in the past. if you dont kow what im talking about, go browse the ban forums. you will see patterns in the bans. not every ban fits the pattern, but if you see increased bans on the 22nd of the month for 5 months straight, thats a pattern.

if you make it past tuesday, and you havent been banned in a month, you are probably going to be safe. its ok to worry though, any one who tells you otherwise is a dick. 'dont bot on your main' is great advice, but if youve already botted on your main, then its stupid ass advice.

the op wants to know if blizzard has waited to ban, or we as a community has experienced a pattern in ban timing, and the answer is 'no one knows for sure'.

This is such an extremely silly question.

It has to do with risk, the more you bot the more you risk the account. And it goes down exponentially.
24h/day = account probably wont live longer than 10 days.
14h/day = maybe 3-4 weeks.
30 min a day = years.

I have never had an account banned when I wasn't actively botting on it. I've had 2 banned while botting, one doing suicide runs and one just gather botting 16h/day and CODing all herbs/ore.
After figuring out that I should bot heroics and lfr a bit between gather botting, I've got one bot that's been active nearly 2 years at 8-10h/day and another active since just before wod that's been using the public nagrand skinning profile & turning in bones 8h/day.

Very close want to live for years bot like a player would play. :) its that simple.

95% true.

Even with all cautions you can be banned if you are online when Warden gets ninja updated like the last tripwire event.

that is an extremely silly answer. you dont factor in what the botter is using the account for.
where they are botting
are they selling gold
are they in the same guild
are they a mule
are they a trade chat spammer
are they an auction house hero
are they a crafter sitting in org doing the shuffle
are they exposed
are they hidden
are they...

you have too many 'probablys' and 'maybes' to actually be serious.

So true. Love it when people just assume you will be banned if you bot for so long. But thats like saying if a real player farms the AH and make a lot that blizzard will assume they are a botter but they are not.

Since the Glider ban wave i've only had a 72 hour suspension during the recent noblegarden because i left the bot farming eggs for the whole event lol. Got them back now and still botting.

i can honestly say, ive never been banned by playing it safe.

every single ban ive had, has been caused by being greedy. thinking 'o, one more bot won't hurt' 'im bored so ill just level one more battle chest' 'i botted all day long, but ill go ahead and put this account on gb2 for the night' 'lets just see how many bots this comp will run'

so many slip ups and every single one could have been avoided by just 'calming the fuck down, bro'

i raid with one account and goof off on a second for months at a time, but that minute i add that third 'i need some extra gold' account, i get dumped on.

No bans, no warnings.

I've been using HB on and off for almost a year. Before that I've been using ShadowBot long time ago before it went bust. I've been using it to farm materials (mining, herbalism, fishing and a little bit of grinding) and a little bit of leveling. All of it done on characters that aren't in active guilds and not on anyone's friends list. I've been using public profiles only for leveling and to learn how to write profiles. All gathering/grinding profiles are my own.
