Long break ~ Few questions for the knowing..

I am taking a much needed break from WoW botting. Going to follow the "quit while you are ahead" protocol. Profits are great if you are all setup but realistically there is simply too much to lose if caught.

With that being said, I am done playing D3 by hand & any interest left in the game is to make some money if possible. On to my questions:

1. Aside from the plugins "Gile" etc. What makes this bot shine? Would this bot fail without their work?
2. I have read on other forums that this software is updated slowly & is not a priority to the team. From your experience, is this true?
3. Is there a specific area where this bot shines? Random dungeons, custom classes, item farm, gold farm etc? What do you use it for?

These are currently my main concerns. There are 2 other bots that I am seriously considering. As a former user of some of Boss's previous bots *I have been around since day 1* I wanted to give what I have read the benefit of asking here first as opposed to just assuming.

Anyone who says Demonbuddy isn't a priority is an idiot. Buddy team updates this bot multiple times nearly every single day. Demonbuddy also runs fine without Giles, but Giles does indeed make it run a lot better.

This bot shines just as Honorbuddy does, if you have a good profile for something, it will do it. And there's plenty of community effort put towards good profiles.

Personally, I feel going with any other botting company is a mistake. But that decision is of course up to you. I find it almost impossible for someone to regret buying this though.

Demonbuddy is a great bot IMHO... They do updates almost everday as the above poster stated. Daily Beta Builds

Giles Trinity is highly recommended but it isn't needed to make the bot run. Giles Trinity Plugin

If you are just starting out Giles has an auto equip plugin which works very nicely and you don't have to waste time doing it yourself. (Normal-Hell mode) Giles Equipper Plugin

There are a lot of profiles available for this bot that many of the members have created. Ciggarc's group make some very nice profiles. Here is the Act 3 Profile for inferno mode. (Can be used on all modes.) Ciggarc's Act 3 Profiles

You will need the ciggarc's plugin to use this profile though. The plugin can be found on their forums RadsAtom Plugin. Registration is required and well worth it imo.

You can also use Kick's profiles for questing, although they do need to be watched frequently.Kick's Questing Profiles

This bot is great for gold farming and item farming as well. I use this bot to do both on act 3 inferno. I use the act 3 profile above and it runs 24/7. Overall this is a great bot with hard working developers. It does have small issues as all the bots do but they are fixed in a reasonable amount of time. Good luck to you and happy hunting.

Bullshit from your side. Honorbuddy is as dependent from the community as demonbuddy is. The dev's form the basis, the community refine it. What would giles and the other plugin dev's do without the syntax coming from demonbuddy, coming from the dev's?

Without giles and giggarc, relining only on DB team, you would be farming either gold in NM or only core of areat in act3 inferno, geared to the teeth and with more than 20 deaths per hour. Last time i saw some streams of Db running champ farming without the community plugins, it was a complete disaster, the bot was acting more like a dummy, not even close to a bot.

Yeah, because I have all the reason in the world to bullshit about a product I thoroughly appreciate and have had more than 300% ROI from.

I don't see your point about Giles either. He isn't making his plugin for any of these other "wonderful" bots you mention, so in reality DB is just a step above the rest for having him. I'm sorry if you prefer less options and efficiency with your bot and just want to whine about a solid product, but then maybe you should go buy Hellbuddy or Immortal... oh wait.

Just for your knowledge, there are already a few more beta bots on the market except IB and HB, who do even a better job that DB without the community plugins.
I am not here to whine, i have no reason to do so, i am simply trying to underline that without giles this bot is nothing better in any way than other bots.
Giles is the only reason, I (like the majority of db community), have bought DB and i will buy even more. He is the one who made act3 champ farming possible using ww barbs or cm wizzards, and not DB team.

Edit: If something happens to giles project, and wont be supported anymore, you can be 100% sure that next day i will sell all my DB keys, and migrate to other bots, without even blinking.

And really? I figured the majority of people bought DB because they trust/prefer the Buddy team. Because I'm quite sure we were all botting for gold well before botting Act 3 Inferno was even considered possible. Maybe I'm wrong though, all those thousands of people who bought the bot before Blizzard's injunction and didn't request refunds because they had trust DB would pull through were definitely here only due to the not yet possible act 3 inferno farming. This isn't a chicken and the egg type deal here, you seem to forget Giles Trinity wouldn't exist without Demonbuddy having come first. Giles is certainly an excellent addition to the program and community as a whole but you fail to realize that this is exactly what is good for a company. People who have a like minded goal and create additions to a product to make it better. Giles is already a mod and it probably wont be long before it's not just a plugin and is actually implemented in the bot. I'm not sure how much more "staff" you want him to be before you consider him part of DB.

You have a very biased (and dumb) outlook on this topic. If you think this bot isn't worth buying for the OP then get a refund yourself and gtfo. Something else you wont have the option to do with other competitors.

Coming from a Honorbuddy botter (around 10bots) Demonbuddy is nowhere near Honorbuddy, atleast not before MoP. I tried to bot with around 3-4 bots again and HB is half broken atm too.

Still, I made a little over 300€ in the past 2 weeks from 1 client in Diablo. It didnt involve me prospecting ores, or spamming /2. I just put some uber items on the RMAH and got paypal cash for it ^^

@sifer - DB would not be nice with GilesTrinity, GilesTrinity would not be nice (it just wouldnt be at all) without DB. Stop trying separate things. DB is very good core with good plugin system. And Im glad that community is decent so we have Trinity, CIGGARS stuff, AntyIdle, BuddyStats, DBRelog, Arelog and may many more new/old stuff.

Demonbuddy is the best bot for diablo3 atm.
Yes, without giles and the ciggarc team, then i guess we would be doomed.
But thats the point of a community, people help out.
Demonbuddy is not only a bot, it is a community were some people put alot of work into it.
And yes, also a plus about this bot is, that they are running honnorbuddy, why is this good?
Clearly we should not be afraid of a suddenly disapear, yes blizzard can do this, but not vs buddy.
