Locker - A 'Quick' CC By Apoc

As I've said, my warlock is not 80. (Currently now 42). Therefor; I can't confirm that anything written for higher levels is working. (I can't test it, so I'm not going to confirm it)

If it works, great. If it doesn't, then oh well. This CC isn't really meant for everyone to be using. I only released it as a "there are no other choices" CC. There was nothing else available, so I wrote one really quick to at least give *some* support.

With that said, as I level, I fix things. But if things are broken at high levels, oh well.


As for the usage of Fear. I haven't decided if I want to pull it completely, or actually put in the time to create the logic to see if we should fear or not. (Eg; check for possible aggro, etc)

Fear can cause a lot of deaths, so I prefer to not use it at all, unless we're super low on health.
 
thanks alot there isnt much to choose from in warlock cc atm but i am very happy you are trying to fix that the default really sucks for destro
 
The profile sometimes re-summons my Felguard when it dismount to attack a mob. You should higher the wait time for the pet check... [if there is a pet check=]

Other then that its working great for my level 44 Demo warlock! :)
 
Soul Harvest fix

I hope I'm not stepping over a line here by changing something and posting it here, but here goes.

To anyone who had the problem of it cancelling soul harvest before it was done, this fixed it for me.
I really don't have much idea of what I'm doing, so it might cause problems somewhere.
All I did was take what seemed to be functioning in an earlier release, and paste in into the new release.

And for those (if any) who want to know what I did:
I copied line 151 to 164 from release, "Locker 10242010_1018", and copied it into the newest release, replacing line 152 to 167.

Now to something I sadly can't fix myself.
It seems like it tries to cast Soul Fire on itself, instead of on the mob.
This could also be the reason why it looks like it's just casting Soulburn whenever it can. It's trying to cast it, but doesn't have the right target...

Apoc, I'd like to express my gratitude for this CC. I'm trying it out on my low 30's lock at the moment in mixed mode. Should I have any issues I'll post log and try be as descriptive as possible :)
 
Nice CC. I have a comment though, would it be possible to make it use Drain Life? Because mine is eating/drinking all the time instead. Would be awesome with a drain life / life tap rotation instead :)

Open up Locker.Combat.cs, you'll only find 1 instance of "Shadow Bolt", just change it to "Drain Life" instead.

Main reason I use SB instead of DL, is the return and damage on DL doesn't make it worth casting.

you're searching the locker.combat.cs file, correct? it's on line 157 (& 158). search for shadow
 
Thanks Apoc, been running this for 2 days solid on my new warlock using the 1-60 horde questing profile, and it's awesome. I really haven't used or botted a warlock, and it's just awesome. I can't tell you how many times it aggro's 4-5 things and I'm going oh, god, it's dead... And it comes out alive!!!
 
I noticed it'll cast soulburn then attempt to cast Soul fire before gcd is done and not do anything after.
 
11 the cc seems to bee too fast with dots and stuff ..

when you aply a dot .. it needs some time until the game knows there is a dot .. so it could be the bot tries to do it twice .. just because wow doesn't realy knows there is a dot on the way ...

like you send a letter ... and you call the one you sended the letter and ask him if the letter is arrived ... and he maybe says no .. and you just send another letter .. bla..

ps: maybe you could build in some delays after you casted debuffs .. but this would mean the cc gets slower.
 
I find that this cc works great but when I go into bgs it will work for a bit but then everything messes up, I don't end up mounting up and he just stands there, it is the cc because it works when I dont use this cc.
I can upload a debug log if you like
 
Could we get a LOS check in this please, For IB would be great then

whatever you did with the new version is awesome, swapped my lock over to affliction and im having a very enjoyable time now in grinding and pvp. question though im wondering does this support IB?
 
I've been using it with IB in Scarlet Monastery levels 26-34 so far. The only problem I'm having (and also when grinding) is that it does not move to line of sight sometimes. So if the tank (or a pet) pulls the mob out of LOS, the bot will not move to compensate. It will remain in the same spot trying to cast and getting the line of sight error.

Besides that, everything else is working great in Demonology spec. Thanks Apoc.
