Went to check my bot, a user with the name GM11 requested to my friend.
I befriended him and viewed his profile. It was blank, litterally nothing came up.

Also thinking GM11 could mean Game Moderator #11 O_O

What do you guys think?

GM11 says that please transfer US $100 to the following account xx-xxxx-xxxxxxx-xx, otherwise your account will be banned in 12 hours...lol

I've been getting scam/gold seller friend requests lately

Some people just don't know, doesn't mean they are stupid. Yet, again you are being negative and disrespectful.

Someone who seriously thinks Blizzard will send you a friend request with a "gamemaster#xxxx" "gm#xx" or whatever name to inspect your account or playstyle or whatever, is ultimately stupid. Winchester is absolutely right. People are paranoid as shit cause they are too damn stupid to act on the most basic rule of botting(*1) ever, that they start thinking like being mentally challenged.

*1 Don't bot if you care about the account.

I agree, it's just rude. One would assume that an able and competent site contributor would be above labeling. Isn't it obvious that there are vast age/demographic/ability/education/income differences in this or any online forum. Use your knowledge, obvious intelligence and abilities wisely, teach don't slander.

I wouldn't worry about someone requesting you to their friends list. I would, however, consider that a friend request is cause for you to be worried about your account and suggest that maybe you don't bot on it because you value it too much.

I didnt call anyone stupid, just so you know, unless you feel i was talking to you? lol
If sugar coating works for you, then I personally welcome you to the Harsh World called "Adult Reality".
Just ignore me dude, dont go following what i post. lol!

On Topic.
Dont bot if you are not willing to accept the consequences.
If you are really paranoid
- dont add friends
- dont join public chat
- dont join public games
- dont join a clan
lol
but ultimately Ban Waves are like RNG - unexpected.
GG if you get banned.

I am not the only one who thinks you are running around here like an asshole thinking you know best when you are not even a mod.

sorry guys, this will be my last reply here. I love the attention, but its Off topic. lol :D:D:D

GM11 is a gold spammer from WoW. You accept them and they add everyone on your friends list and spam them. So just dont accept
They have a million gold spamming bot looking for battletags, GM###

I've *NEVER* seen this happen in D3, only in WoW, but if an actual, flesh and blood, live GM wanted to talk to you, a purple line (not sure if it is in Diablo) with a blue "Blizz" logo would come across your screen, and inform you that a Blizzard rep would like to speak to you, please "click here" to begin chatting. Now that's the way it works in WoW, and I'm fairly certain should a GM bother to speak to you in D3 (and I"ve been playing since launch and never had this happen, as I said), I would assume that something similar would occur. They would NOT attempt to friend you through BattleTag or RealID. If they're concerned you're botting, they have other ways to watch you without friending you or even chatting with you in game.

We all are concerned somewhere in the back of our minds that our accounts may be closed, but if you're truly worried about the banhammer, and the account is indeed that valuable to you, don't bot. Or if you do, bot SMART. Don't let your bot go days unattended, or let it run in circles for hours in an open rift, or enter/exit games multiple times, etc etc. Common sense.
