Little help, new here

I'm trying to get started and have been reading the forums for an hour, but a lot of the posts don't apply to the newest versions.

Anyway, I have demonbuddy up and trinity, trinity routine, & questtools going. (I tried a YAR but kept crashing on start).
I downloaded an act 2 profile, but I can't figure out how to get it to run. When I click load on the main page, it has "Recent" & "from web resource" as the options. If I click from web resource, it has a blank for entering URL.

I created a "Profiles" folder and put the xml files into it, but I guess that's not what you should do.

Do I need to download another plugin to easily load profiles?


Also, under settings - all I have is "Bot" & "Combat Routines" and clicking them crashes the program.

Any help is appreciated.

That's actually exactly what you should do. Once you did that..click Load button and aim for that folder...and for the xml-file. Depending on the profile..some of the profiles might be composed by a few xmls having the names of the areas the bot should run. If that's the case..you should choose just 1 of the xmls..usually the creator of the profile guide you in theyr names..for example..Start.xml...or Run_this.xml.
By the way...by saying "clicking" the Load button..i mean exactly that..not clicking the drop-down menu arrow on it.
Also make sure you have completed the necessary chapter and quests in order to run eatch profile..otherwise the bot should act wired. For more and exact information..read in eatch profile thread. If you can't find this kind of information..means you should not worry about it. Just choose the last quest of the act which the profile suppose to run.
Also make sure you use the last version or beta version of DB. Those crashes you are having are strange.
 
Well that profile thing was pretty dumb on my part. Clicking the load rather than the down arrow was it.

The combat routine issue is still there though. Any time I click on trinity (I have v1.1) as the combat routine, DB crashes.
 
im using the generic combat routine. Just delete what is inside the box where it shows it and restart db.
It will ask you to select what routine you want to use when you try and start it.

Trinity got its own UI via plugins tab,routine settings button wont work on Trinity
 
Got it going. Fresh install w/ trinity & it loaded its own combat routine.

Now I just need to tweek things and find a relogger and figure out how to make it pickup what I want. Thanks for the help all.
