Lifetime Ban, no matter what i try, pls HELP!

Info i had an chat with an gm
i have an privat vpn. Given by my buissnes just a week ago. Now i lvled an toon by hand to lvl 20 then started a bot he just turned in a quest and i got an perma ban. Abuse of economy (no not the one u can reactivate if u change the password) so i wrote a ticket. The answer was amaising.
They told me that the vpn and ip i used was flaged for goldselling in 2013 and he also tells me that it is on an blacklist.
i told him that i need the vpn for buissnes and cant deaktivate it.
So he said he has to check if he can delete the ip from blacklist.

After some more research i really think it has to be the ip...as im a complete noob when it comes to ip´s, i realized that when i change my routers mac adresse to get another ip, i get another ip but the only thing that changes is the last digit...so for example i had 65.xx.xx.140 after the change i would get 65.xx.xx.28

Now i researched some more and if i understood it correctly, the last digit tells u that im actually on the same connection just maybe another computer/router, am i right? If so, my question is...how can i change the other digits? Its easy to see that it is the same ISP if u check it on whois.domaintools.com/ . Isnt it possible that they could easily call the ISP (on the link i wrote above u get information on who is the owner of the ISP and phone number) and ask for some information? I know it is illegal but blizz is a multi billion company who doesnt give a crap and can do whatever they want to...maybe even pay the ISP for getting some information on who is using the exact ip at the moment...

That's your subnet.

If you go look into your connection properties, you'll see your subnet defined as 255.255.255.0. That pretty much means that whenever you force an IP reset, you are asigned the same previous X digits, and only the Y portion change. (In a X.X.X.Y Ip address)

In order to change it, you need to contact your ISP. Sometimes, if your ISP have different IP ranges, (which they should, as the above subnet would only host 256 Ip's meaning 256 customers) waiting a bit longer before restarting your router can "assign" you a different range, which would do the trick. Sometimes it won't, I'd assume because somehow a certain node is assigned a certain subnet.

Anyway, that's what I've heard about subnets. There are people here with much wider knowledge on Networking, so they could give a far better explanation. I'm probably wrong, don't take my words as the only truth!

Bottomline, told you once, tell you twice; change your ISP now buddy.

Its not that easy to change my ISP cause my landlord said that they r partners with them and no other cable ISP would work...again i have no idea bout that stuff really...i cant remember how it happened but i thought it was because i changed the router once, cause i couldnt change the mac of it, but i had another ip with every digit being different...maybe i didnt wait long ago i allways waited for like 2 minutes b4 i restarted the router and modem again.

If your static IP range for your complex is flagged by blizz, you're straight up screwed. Changing the MAC on your router isn't going to change anything as your ISP is just going to assign you an IP address in that range again.

Without changing your ISP or moving, your basically screwed at this point.

thx ryfto, u think it is only because of the static ip? Cause i dont wanna get another isp and then i get banned once for i dunno what and then have to change my isp again ...so should i get an isp with dynamic ip and that should do the trick or will it also just change the ip in some range of my complex?

It doesn't sound like your landlord will allow you to change your ISP. If they do, that should solve that piece of the puzzle...

But at the same time, every time you make a comment something else comes up, so I'm not 100% certain that that alone will solve your problem.

You can always try it and see. A dynamic IP should be fine for you, unless you connect to some VPN somewhere that requires a static. Most homes are fine having a dynamic IP.
