Today i started questing with my lvl 22 horde monk. I left the house, was gone for an hour. When i arrived home, the monk was level 31 and still questing!!

Stay at Home when you level from 80-90 ;)

Not sure how well this works but I've been told by others that 80-85 with Archaeology works great and 99% afkable.

Last time I ran kick's 85-90, I had no issues at all and was AFKable.

what class spec did you use for it to be afkable. ive tried feral druid, ret pally, blood dk, unholy, and frost dk. none are afkable for more than half a level from 80-90

80-90? You better stay at home beginning with lvl 58 ;) Outland and Cata are a plain nightmare in comparison to MoP..

At the time I hadn't used Kick's profile for about 6 months but I'm leveling a new character and noticed it's far from AFKable now. Somehow it USED to be afkable and never had any issues, this time around I had into problems EVERYWHERE. Deepholm ran so much smoother last time, but this time it was an absolute disaster and had to be skipped.

I think It might have to do with the honorbuddy core's quality being degraded and a lot of the times when an issue is reported, you're told to just do a fresh install rather then looking into the issue.

ive just leveled a hunter, pali from 85 / 90. i was comfortable leaving it for 4 - 5 hours while i was at work. (im fairly paranoid too). im doing dk at the moment 80 - 90 and that did 2 levels last night while i was asleep.

advising a clean install is the first step of fixing an unknown issue. HB works 99% of the time before you add anything to it. then the user adds custom routines, plugins, runs profiles. the mods have no idea what is going on in your HB folder.

Hi, Lilsavalex,

We well know what the problem is...
Most of the time, the user has damaged his quest behaviors. This can happen due to a number of reasons.

So, this situation leaves us with two solutions when advising users on how to get on their feet again:
  • Surgically identify each broken behavior, and provide detailed instructions on how to 'fix' the broken installation

  • Tell the user to do a 'clean install'
For technically savvy users, the former may be the more expedient route. But, technically savvy users like this don't post into the forum asking for help. These users already know that the problem is, and proceed to fix the installation themselves.

For the rest, we generally apply the rule that if a user is asking for help, the safest and quickest way to restore his Honorbuddy to proper operation is to do a clean install. If we recommend a clean install, and the user feels he can do the 'surgical fix' instead, more power to him.

cheers,
chinajade
