Leveling with GB?

Hello guys,

with the recent patch Blizz has screwed up big time my leveling through archaeologybuddy (200 cap max...), so Im looking for an alternate way to level and I was wondering if leveling through gathering with GB would be an efficient way to level?

I've always quested/battlegrounded myself to at least 60. Then I usually start herbing and mining whilst flying around and it's quite nice experience. I have my hunter botted from 68-85 just purely by farming herbs throughout the game.
Also currently having a 80 Paladin(sadly, no Cataclysm yet) flying in Twilight Highlands farming herbs. It usually would take about a week to go from 80-85 with herbing/mining, with around 8/day.

Do you remember how much xp/hour it gave from 70-80 and 80-85? An estimation?

I'm afraid no. 60-68 herbing in Outlands was fairly quick, took me 1? days (approx. 12h of farming, but also made around 3k+ whilst doing it). 68-75 takes quite a while I must say, but if you have the patience(I didn't for 2nd time) to wait a day whilst it farms, you can reach 75 in about a day or two I believe. But, if you play Alliance I'd recommend this.

1. 1-60 Questing/BG'ing. BG better for Alliance by far.
2. Level up Gathering professions(Mining + Herbalism) to 300
3. 60-68 Gathering in Outlands, various locations.
4. 68-75 Gathering, if Alliance, 73-75 Battlegrounds.
5. 75-85 Gathering in Twilight Highlands.

I remember buying HB, and after roughly 1? weeks my 68 hunter became 85 and I had made around 70k+ of materials on the way.
I don't know if this is helpful to you at all, but hey, better than nothing.

I am already level 76 (almost 77, doing manual BGs ) heh... You sure I can start TH right away? (Well I have not started any prof yet lol)

Also, for archaeology, it gave like 6.2k xp per dig, is it anywhere close of this with gathering?
