leveling a hardcore charecter

What do you guys recommend? I was thinking of leveling by hand to complete act 1 and have strong gear, then i'll let him farm act 1 elites to level up (on mp 0), then as i get high enough i'll farm act 2, then 3, i'll stay one act 3 till i reach around level 35 or something high, then i'll repeat with nightmare. Leveling by hand would be time consuming but safer though right? Anyone have experience in hardcore leveling? or hardcore in general? this would be my first hardcore, although i played hardcore in diablo 2

I have never trusted the bot with a HC character. Your going to have problem when you run into key wardens at any mp lvl.

But, i never tried it.

yeah wardens are going to kiss my ass, but i'm planning to avoid them by not running any profiles with them in it
also i'm planning on beefing up my follower so if lags he'd save me (hopefully)

I botted HC for a time but went back to SC. Had a bunch of goldfind monks doing core runs on NM. If you're planning on doing champ farming even at MP0, I would advise to stay with SC. It doesn't take much to die once.

Yeah some considerations about HC gold botting that I developed were as follows,

- HC gold is worth 3x the price of SC gold. SC gold is worth nothing, so 3x of nothing is still nothing. Ofc I'm exaggerating but it will continue to drop in value the same as SC gold.

- Availability of decent farming gear on AH. Or lack thereof. I've never had any trouble gearing gold farmers on softcore but when I tried to gear up toons on HC it was a different story. Trying to find gold% and pickup radius on the same item was like pulling teeth, and i never got perfect scores on anything. Just not enough people playing HC I guess to keep AH full of good stuff.

- RIP Paragon levels. If you could do it without goldfind gear then it MIGHT be worthwhile but you will need it because you won't be able to gain serious paragon levels botting nightmare. There's actually a guy in my recent players list who I'm positive is goldbotting NM. Demon hunter, online 24/7, paragon level 20. If he was botting inferno then he'd be at 90 already.
