Honorbuddy Community,

I was talking about Honorbuddy with some colleagues and we thought of an interesting idea. In the past, other companies (MMOGlider) have been sued and then shut down by Blizzard. Although botting itself is not illegal, it is against the WoW ToS. So, we were thinking, wouldn't it be a good idea to make a ToS for Honorbuddy that forces us to agree not to use this software on WoW (or atleast Blizzard owned servers). That way, you could use the same argument that they use and say you are exempt from people who use the bot for purposes that violate their ToS when they violating your own ToS as well.

Just a thought, any comments?

It's a little late for that even if it would work.

If you make a specific product for a game and set in ur tos not to use it with that game then I could make a tool for something illigal stating you shoulden't do anything illigal but it would still be considered illigal for example :

I sell a tool that is only able to hack certain websites and not useable for anything else then I coulden't claim that it isn't supposed to be used on these websites.

Very simply sayd it doesn't help that much once you get into a lawsuit you're in it for the long run and won't be able to simply adjust ur tos and continue.

A game and a website are different.

You can say that HB must only be used on non official WoW servers.

Maybe I am wrong. =^.^=

Technically the non official servers would require an specific HB as well.

Because they rarely are up to date and therefore that version would never be compatible with the latest official wow servers.
