Greetings forum members,
Many of us botted to level chars, used enyo for pvp or raid, farmed ore, herbs, leather, cloth etc to have enough money to level professions and be gold sufficient for our needs. I used questing bot with kick's profiles for 3 years now and never had a problem. In the beginning i used to monitor 100%, then i used logmeout properly and monitored the toons around 20% max.
However, many of you wanted to make business out of this stupid game, by selling gold, and in doing so you destroyed the market in many realms. When i see ore, herbs or any other mat posted in auction house in very large quantities in around 40-50% of market value of a specific realm, legitimate players cannot compete and get very, very angry. You can say here that because of cheap mat values then a legitimate player can use a crafting profession and make gold. But my friends you wanted to control this market as well.
In the end you took advantage of the wow token system and blizzard got very upset.

A multi-million dollar company can detect honorbuddy or a similar product whenever they feel the need to do it. Nothing can stop them.
Why the decided to do it now?
Think people, think - learn from mistakes!!!!!

this.

but without bots this game would be dead allr.

so theres prolly a very thin line of acceptance. Hb became an infestation and needed to be dealt with.

bossland winning diablo court case obviously didnt help either.

Pro tip. Bossland IS a multi million dollar company too.

Second - pro - tip. Blizzard is going to invest the bare minimum they can scrape by with, not a penny more. Why do you think they hit HB but bothered with nothing else. Other x86 bots exist and were just as easily findable but they're still chugging along.

Anyways, I'm beginning to view this as the beginning of the end for wow. IM just not sure what to do with myself lol. I've looked at going back to wildstar and having 1 server and being dumbed down just like wow now doesn't appeal. I've looked at going back to ffxiv which I was in the #1/2 WW guild so I'm not far behind at all.. But itemization is still piss poor and simplistic so I know I'll simply get bored with 100 carbon copies running around and bail again.

Mmofps or any kind of fps doesn't do it for me. Black desert looks beyond beautiful but I'm not so sure about a non local mmo. Gw2 sounds miserable with no real end game content. Rift I hung up long ago due to the cookie cutter specs and art style (plus I womt touch f2p with a ten foot pole). Aion, same thing - hung it up loooong ago. Art style just didn't do it for me and now f2p no thx. Lotro, max toon Here too just like the rest. F2p and barren. I still even have my EQ and eq2 accounts but those are both f2p and too dated for me to enjoy I reckon.

Last thing I can think of is a burner/interim account boosted to 90 and geared by my guild which the vast majority (ie all but me) did not get banned (use sbr afaik). Ultimately this sounds appealing to stay with my closest friends but other than that sounds miserable.

What to do? Is anything else on the horizon? EQN is ages away and is very likely going to fall on it's face due to pulling a blizzard (trying to please everyone and going casual friendly - among no raiding, no levels, no classes AND being f2p) so that leaves me with the saving grace of the mmorpg genre Pantheon, which unfortunately won't be out until 2017.

I can't make it till then. Not even close. Need something now for the in between. How is AoC these days? Or is that f2p too? Anything due out this year?

Yea I went Waaaay off topic and thread jacked a bit, sorry!
